Okta reported another round of good growth in the fiscal quarter that ended April 30, with sales increasing by 37% to $251 million. However, its adjusted loss per share increased from $0.06 to $ 0.10 as it paid money to incorporate Auth0. This month saw the completion of the acquisition of Auth0.

For the first time, Okta provided long-term revenue projection, predicting $4 billion in annual sales by fiscal 2026.

Pure Storage Inc. PSTG announced non-GAAP breakeven results for the first quarter of fiscal 2022 after markets closed on Wednesday.

Snowflake Inc. (SNOW), a data warehousing firm based on cloud computing, announced triple-digit revenue growth fueled by higher client usage but failed on profit.

Workday, Inc. is a software company. WDAY reported non-GAAP earnings of 87 cents per share in the first quarter of fiscal 2022. Revenues of $1.175 billion climbed 15.4 percent year over year and were 1.3 percent higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The stock has increased 29.8 percent in the last year, compared to the industry's 41.5 percent rise. Several FINS solutions customers were added to the company's roster in the first quarter.

Peakon was also purchased by Workday in March 2021. In fiscal 2022, the firm intends to boost its staff by more than 20%. Workday anticipates subscription revenue of $1.095-$1.97 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2022. (indicating year-over-year growth of 18 percent ).

For the third week in a row, the number of Americans submitting new applications for unemployment benefits remained below 500,000. Financials, industrials, and materials were among the sectors that provided the most support to the S&P 500. Boeing gained 3.1 percent after European competitor Airbus announced a nearly two-fold increase in output, citing a solid rebound in aviation.

Pure Storage (PSTG) announced break-even quarterly earnings per share, compared to the consensus estimate of a $0.07 loss. This quarterly report indicates a 100 percent earnings surprise. Pure Storage stock prices gained 1.98% higher after the quarterly earnings. The firm has outperformed consensus earnings per share projections four times in the previous four quarters. Pure Storage shares have fallen around 16.5 percent since the beginning of the year, compared to the S&P 500's rise of 11.5 percent.

Snowflake Inc. shares fell 3% in after-hours trading after ending up 2.3 percent at $235.24. The software business lost $203.2 million in the first quarter, or 70 cents per share. Sales also more than double, reaching $228.9 million, up from $109 million the previous year. Snowflake is still trading at about double its IPO price of $120, but it has not maintained the high heights that its shares reached late last year. The stock price has dropped by more than 7% since the end of the first day of trade.

Okta reports better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter earnings for the period ending April 30. Its revenue grows 37% year over year to $251 million, while its guidance was $237 to $239 million. Its non-GAAP EPS is -$0.10, beats the guidance range of -$0.20 to -$0.21. However, its stock price was down 2.77% at $239.70. This may be related to an annoucement that CFO Mike Kourey will resign as CFO on June 1. According to CEO Todd McKinnon, it was "another good quarter for Okta."

Workday reports better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter results for the period ending April 30. Revenue for the quarter was $1.18 billion, a 15% increase over the previous year. Workday offers corporate clients HR and finance applications. The firm also stated that it aims to increase its staff by more than 20% in fiscal 2022, with 2,500 new employment in Ireland and the United States. Workday's stock is down 1.1 percent in late trade, trading at $234.40.

Nvidia (NVDA) released profits for fiscal Q1 2022 after the closing bell on Wednesday, exceeding analysts' forecasts for the period.

Its Q1 revenue is $5.66 billion, compared to $5.41 billion projected. EPS is $3.66 versus $3.31 projected. Overall revenue increased by 84 percent for the quarter, with Nvidia's gaming section increasing by 106 percent and its data center division increasing by an equally astounding 79 percent.

Nvidia's stock price remained flat (-0.91%) after the announcement.
