Welcome listeners of The Trainers Tribe to a special, short episode.
Since re-launching the podcast in March 2020, Dale and I have become aware that there are topics that we love to talk about and one's we don't. There are also topics that you love to listen to, and one's that you don't. And these two sets of topics actually line up.
We wanted to come up with a new name and purpose for the podcast that reflects that.
Listen to today's short episode for all of the details:
Things the new podcast will help you with:
Episode 1 of the new podcast drops on Friday 25th of August.

As humans we all have a part of us that enjoys being creative. We like to make things that look nice and that help others.
The bit that we often struggle with though is finding people to buy the thing we made. Whether it's having an effective marketing strategy for getting more clients into your sessions or getting people to sign up to your online sessions, it's often put in the too hard basket.
Over the past month we've been sharing a series on how to go from idea to a product you can sell.
Hopefully at this point you’ve come up with a good idea, you’ve tested that idea, you’ve started to build an audience and now you know for sure people are interested. Now comes that part you've been avoiding, selling it!
In this episode we talk all things selling, how much time to put into your product, what that final product should be (a service, a book, a course, what?), how you should price it and many other tips.

By teaming up with someone, business partnerships allow two people to create something amazing that neither could have made by themselves.
But there are pit falls to be wary of. How to you find someone you can trust? Do you split things 50/50? Is it better to hire someone or partner with them?
That and more answered in today’s episode of The Trainers Tribe.
Here are some of the tips we cover:

When it comes to building an audience, a following or a community 2 things are key: Consistancy and Value. Consistancy will show people that you're going to keep turning up and that you'll stick around. Being valuable will help your message spread. Together it will help those who align with your values and the services you provide find you.
If you struggle with consistancy then start small. Try just 30 minutes a week dedicated to building your audience. Spend the first 15 minutes creating something to post then spend the next 15 minutes deliberately diving into where your audience is hanging out and help them.
If you feel like you don't have anything valuable to offer then know this: You don't need to be an expert, you just need to be a little bit further along the path than someone else. In fact, you can remember clearly what struggles you faced and are in a great position to help those who are just behind you.

Have you got a big idea?
Perhaps a new service you've been wanting to add in addition to your group fitness sessions.
How do you know if it will take off?
In our experience ideas don’t work in reality for one of two reasons:
In today’s episode we cover what to do if you’re guilty of either of these.
Dale shares a story about creating a full membership site and launching to crickets and another one about how one social media post turned into a new business for him. Kyle shares about how he tested out a nutrition accountability service with in a pilot group in his bootcamp and what he learned from that.

If your marketing and business growing efforts seem to be getting no traction, it’s possible that you’re using the wrong Tactics. But how does one know which tactics are the right tactics? The answer: If it fits your Strategy.
Once again, Kyle gesticulates wildly while talking, this time when explaining the difference between strategy and tactics. Dale shares the strategy (and then specific tactics) he used to leave full time teaching and become a presenter and keynote speaker for teachers and corporations.

With so much going on at the moment, it can be hard to still get your name and your businesses out name out there (in a way that's respectful).
The pandemic we're in is a marathon, not a sprint so we need to be mindful of marketing in way that is sustainable.
In today's episode Dale and Kyle share two ways to effectively spread the word on what you're doing. The 'Level 1' version just takes 5-10 minutes per day (which everyone can find time for) while the 'Level 2' version takes more time but can work really work as a long-term strategy.
