Sam was a true knockout artist, demolishing all of his amateur opponents and even catching the attention of England and Team GB. But Sam's journey to the top wasn't easy. After the brutal knock-out, he realised he should leave his amateur career behind and become a pro. It was a bold move, but one that ultimately paid off.

By the age of 19, Sam had turned pro and embarked on a meteoric 14-fight win streak, Sam's big break came when he landed a shot at the WBA intercontinental cruiserweight title against the formidable Richard Riakporhe. Sam was up eight rounds and victory was in sight, but then, in a flash, it was all over. One devastating punch ended the fight, and Sam's shot at the title.

Sam went on to have three more fights, but when COVID hit, he decided to focus on his business ventures. Whilst the fights had stopped, Sam grew his businesses in the meantime. But after the realization that he could make more money outside the ring than in, he hung up the gloves forever and focused all of his energy on growing his business empire.
