  • Coronavirus Coping Stories: Cara Greene Epstein, Filmmaker, Teaching Artist and now...Schoolteacher

Today's episode features teaching artist and mom, Cara Greene Epstein. She talks about what it's like to suddenly be a schoolteacher and what it's like in her north Chicago neighborhood.
But before that! "Three Good Things," in which, every show, she shares three things that made her smile during these shitty times. Links to today's good things right here:
    1. Boss Bitch Fight Challenge. Don't look it up. Just watch. https://www.instagram.com/tv/B_qAPQaDIrf/?utm_source=ig_embed
    2. Alex Jones threatening to eat his neighbors' asses. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/g5xzej/increasingly-desperate-alex-jones-says-he-will-kill-and-eat-his-neighbors

And one really bad thing. Another first person essay about MTA and other key NYC workers who are keeping the city running but not being protected. They are getting sick and dying.

  • Cycling One
A show mostly about coping through the coronavirus crisis. Each episode, Darbi will talk with someone in her network about how the coronavirus is affecting their work, life and health. She'll also be dropping in the occasional free workout or meditation to help you through these tough times.
Today's show is a "pay what you can" INDOOR CYCLING workout. Donations gratefully accepted at paypal.me/darbiworley
The mix probably isn't perfect. I'm a voiceover artist and fitness teacher, not a DJ but I did my best. If you don't have access to an indoor bike, you could easily use this as a walk or run workout. Just speed up during the progressive intensity work and maybe do some plyometrics during the pushes/sprints in the last block of work.
Constructive criticism and song requests are WELCOME! Leave me a comment or PM me. Happy Friday, y'all!!

  • A Walking Workout... A Walkout!
A show about coping through the coronavirus crisis. Most shows feature a conversation about how regular folks are getting through the various lockdowns happening all over the world but today's features a free sample of the walking/running/bodyweight workouts that I will soon be offering. Check it out and send me your feedback.
Most of the walkout consists of simply walking or running but there are a few bodyweight exercises you might want to familiarize yourself with ahead of time if you are new to this stuff.
Air squats: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_VtOYc6j5c If you have trouble with your knees, you don't need to go anywhere near as low as this guy does (I don't). Just go as low as you can. It's all good.
Squat Jumps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72BSZupb-1I Again, jumping is totally optional. Stick to the air squat if you are new or have any joint issues.
Walking Lunge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlhojghkaQ0 Again, this guy goes really low (yay, him). If that bothers your knees, shorten your stance and just go as low as you can.
Hit me up with questions and feedback!
