Additionally, Brandi goes off on Davis County for its soft reopening during this crisis. We point out how few people learn from history. For instance, San Francisco opened to early during the flu of 1918.

Quarantine House

However, they must select two good characters and one bad to potentially populate the quarantine house. Meanwhile, we discuss each choice and the reason for it. Sadly, the industrial rock community lost a couple of its luminary members. First, founder of industrial rock, Genesis P-Orridge, died at 70 of leukemia. Also, we recently lost to cancer drummer, Bill Rieflin.

Reviews

First, Dave reviews the animated film, Onward. This Disney film pits a Dungeons & Dragons quest against a world with modern technology. Furthermore, Dave respects the racial issues addressed in HBO’s Watchmen. Finally, Dave shares his thoughts about Picard. Mostly, he compares the story arc to similar stories going back to Frankenstein.

Mainly, we talk about what is perhaps the oldest, complete martial art in the world. First, what is a complete martial art? This 4,000 year old style of unarmed combat contains all fighting applications. Pankration means all powers. That is, it offers striking techniques as in boxing. It features kicks such as the forward thrusting heel kick to the belly. Also, it features holds and throws similar to judo and Greco-Roman wrestling. Additionally, choking presents another mode of attack.

Beyond just the techniques, Dave explores training methods and strategy. He talks about the culture, art and history surrounding this ancient martial art. Moreover, he explains its similarities to modern mixed martial arts. Also, he suggests viewing material. for example, he mentions an episode of Human Weapon and video of Wolf Hawkfield from Virtua Fighter.

However, Brandi enjoys other franchises as well. For instance, she loves Star Wars. Yet, Darth Vader scared her. As such, Brandi tells the story of how her father scared her by impersonating Vader’s voice. She ran from the movie theater. Her older sister dressing as Vader for Halloween only exacerbates this childhood trauma.

Fallout 4

While speculating on Picard, Brandi brings up the synths in Fallout 4. As such, she goes off on a tangent in talking about video games and post apocalyptic fiction. She admits how these tangents may happen often.
