Tin Anniversary
It is our 10th anniversary of podcasting. As such, The Dark Corner Podcast celebrates with tin. That is, we talk at length about the soft, shiny metal. However, we provide a jumping on point for new listeners. For instance, we introduce ourselves and share our stories. Also, Dave gives updates on his computer issues. Furthermore, we review a musical play and several streaming tv series. On top of that, we have shout outs and a Dark Track.
News
Dave has a massive hard drive failure. For example, a new hard drive failed to mount. Also, an old hard drive converted files so they can no longer be accessed. Therefore, Dave shares his grief and frustration. however, there is hope as some files were stores on an even older hard drive. Meanwhile, many music downloads remained on the hard disk for the laptop.
Reviews
We review The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. For instance, we discuss the new theater in Centerville. Brandi shares how she knows one of the cast. Overall, is well acted and the song and dance numbers entertain. Meanwhile, the show has both funny and sad moments. Additionally, it features some audience participation.
In television, we wish GLOW had a little more wrestling. However, we enjoyed the social commentary and the character subplots. Also, we found Wu Assassins fun and exciting with amazing fight scenes. However, it has limited special effects and Dave found they were fast and loose with five element theory. Finally, we dip into the first two episodes of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Mostly, he praise its use of puppetry and fantastic art direction.
The Dark Track
Sweet Spectra from Santiago de Chile perform Fleshless. The traditionally gothic track features loads of reverb and guitar feedback. You can find this on the HISPANO-LATINO AMERICAN Gothic compilation.
The Greatest Generation
Once again, we air a promo for The Greatest Generation, a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine podcast on the Maximum Fun network. This clip features a song celebrating the drunk episodes.
Tin
In the point, we talk about tin. We get into the specifics of this element on the periodic table. Also, we get into different types of tins. That is, we discuss the shiny beta tin, and the dull alpha tin. Additionally, we show hoe tin is used in technology, from plating ships to providing electronic video screens. Moreover, we show how tin influences language and cultures. Finally, we list appropriate tin gifts for a 10th anniversary.

Finally, we shout out or kind host, Mr. Tom Elliot of the Strange and Deadly and the Twilight Zone podcasts. Tom is a long time friend and a talented voice in the podcasting community. We’ll be back next week with a report from FanX Salt Lake Comics Convention.
