The Dark Mark Show

Singer/Songwriter Violent Vickie and Comedian/Actor Jamie Gendron joined Mark for quite a spirited and dance-able show.

Vickie talked about growing up as a nice church going girl who even studied opera until she found the riotgrrrl movement when she went to college in Santa Cruz. She started with an 80s drum machine she got from ebay for $40 and has since flourished with a sound which combines punk, goth, Industrial, EDM, shoegaze, trip hop and dream pop and a career that has led her to open for Hanin of Atari Teenage Riot (leading Mark to unwittingly and hilariously misidentify her gender) and Missing Persons and perform at Occupancy Portland. She plays her new song "Serotonin" and a VV classic "Men".

Jamie is always the life of the party and reflects on seeing her ex-lover Eddie Murphy EVERYWHERE the last year due to his comeback. Last time she was on the show she beat a submissive mercilessly only to have that submissive thank her by giving her an extravagant photo shoot too sexy to use as head shots. Jamie is about to shoot her part in a new sitcom where she will portray a bikini model alongside actresses half her age.

Isabel Chang who founded Goth Speed Dating and the Facebook Group SoCal Goth Dating and veteran goth dater and author Nicole Sixx joined Mark for a fascinating show

Isabel talked about her surprising African Roots, compared the goth scene in Seattle to Los Angeles, the difficulties of dating in the community and how incestuous it can be sometimes, which goth clubs in LA are the best, her newfound goth celebrity, the Vampire Ball she just attended, the ritual of gathering in graveyards and how she took her heartbreak after a breakup and made a wonderful community out of it, which is as gloriously goth as it gets.

Nicole was returning to the show after a long absence and didn't miss a beat as she talked whether she considers herself goth or not, why 10% of the men seem to date 90% of the ladies, how she has the candor to tell Mark she will never date him but is still a good friend and she is reading Tarot Cards now and gave Isabel a reading at the end of the show.

Hannah and Angie talked about achieving the impossible over the weekend....getting kicked out of Hollywood's notorious strip club Jumbo's Clown Room, Angie and Savannah compared groupie experiences, and how awkward it was when a guy talked about what he wanted to do to Savannah not knowing he was talking to her boyfriend, Everyone talked about odd fetishes and Dangerous D. talked about his injuries and how elastic his scrotum is now.

Hannah opened some presents, everyone opened little bottles of Fireball Whisky, Savannah sang an acoustic version of her new single "He Sees Me" and D taught Hannah and Savannah how to eat fire and then blew fireballs in studio

The testosterone was flowing in the studio this week as Mark and Hannah welcomed muscular actors Eric Reingrover and Raymond Visnik Williams to the lighter side of the dark side.

Eric talked about having to see prisoners do all sorts of things when he was a corrections officer, how his acting career is now taking off as evidenced by his recurring role on SEAL Team with David Boreanz, an upcoming guest spot on Homeland and roles he and Raymond may or may not have in an upcoming summer blockbuster directed by an Academy Award nominee. He also gives his supportive wife a shout out and talked about how his size is a detriment as he dwarfs most of the leading men in Hollywood including his hero Tom Hardy.

Raymond straightened out the pronunciation of his name, talked about being a dancer and gymnast which helped him in unexpected ways when he fought one of Anderlei Silva's proteges in an MMA fight. He also was a pro wrestler called "The Judge" and loves playing the bad guy. Even though Eric has been acting longer, Raymond has almost as many credits, even beating Eric out when they went for the same role and he has some real top secret projects on tap for 2020.

Oh, just don't say the "P" word...Raymond hates it. Listen and find out why....

Artist and Activist Davida Sal and Comedian Willis Turner joined Mark in studio for a quite random and entertaining show.

Davida explained her name change from Jil Love and why there is still a Jil Love Revolution though she is no longer going to be doing her provocative performance pieces anymore. Examples of these are sitting on a toilet over Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, building a wall around her and being covered in marijana leaves and stickers (which was recently copied at an awards show). She talked about the dangers of 5G, the Corona Virus and what she feels about conservative activists.

Willis talked about the high standard he put on himself in comedy and how he wanted to measure up to Richard Pryor or else. He and Mark discussed their favorite cities to play, who makes the best french fries, the perils of raising a teenage daughter, and sex in public, which Davida had some experience with too.

The Dark Mark Show took a look into the future as multi-hyphenate IrinaXara gave psychic readings to stand up comedian Mia Mars as well as Hanna and Mark in a quite metaphysical show

IrinaXara did 2 types of readings...one with playing cards (she explained why she doesn't use Tarot Cards and what she calls a "cyberpunk" reading since we are in a post Blade Runner age. She looked into Mia Hannah and Marks love life and found some interesting things for all 3.

Mia talked about growing up rich, her father's unusual occupation which led her to interning for Jamie Masada at the Laugh Factory (and led to Mark and Mia doing dueling Jamie impressions) which led to her performing comedy. She explained why she does self depreciating humor and why her father wants her to find a nice Jewish boy (these things may be related)

Adult film star Ryder Skye and comedian Angie Krum joined Mark and Hannah for the first show of 2020 and nothing was held back.

Ryder talked about everything from how Michael C. Hall and Jimmy Smits singled her out when she guest starred on Dexter (twice), how she kept running into the hot guy from the Sex and The City episode after they filmed a threesome scene, how her adult film career started with encouragement from her now ex-husband, on Easter Sunday no less, the trauma of botched implants, douching and using an enema for the first time, what a sweetheart James Deen is and how she filmed a scene that got out of control for Jared Leto's new documentary and he owes her a sleepover.

Angie talked about the discrepancy in pay and respect between male and female comedians. She has been known to be too dirty even though club owners would love that material from a man. She talked about her own breast implant experience, how she was the only woman on the show who loves looking at herself in the mirror and jumped into all the dirty sex talk being had in the studio.

Hannah and Nicole SIxx couldn’t make the show due to mysterious circumstances, so Mark was all alone to interview a vampire, in this case Father Sebsastiaan who is a noted fangsmith, author, and creator of Endless Night Vampire Ball.

Sebastiaan cleared up the unusual spelling of his name and how he was ordained, he went through a detailed history of the vampire in popular culture, from the Ancient Greeks to Twilight and beyond, talked about fusing his experiences working with 90s club kids at the Limelight in New York City with the Vampire role playing games into what is now a series of worldwide gatherings for Vampires and Vampyres. He also did not blink once during the interview, even while discussing his admiration for Anne Rice.  Hmmm…..

Johnny Indovina and Sin Twisted joined Mark and Hannah for some fun and spirited conversation. Johnny talked about getting inspiration from hearing his mother sing at church as a boy, his club days sharing the stage at The Scream with Jane’s Addiction and Guns N Roses, his songwriting inspirations, breaking up and reforming his band Human Drama and his huge following in Mexico.

Sin talked about her name change from Fisted to Twisted, going to Cambodia where her new split tongue came in handy, how music inspires her unique dance moves, including The Eagles (!), her cosplay adventures at various cons and she demonstrated the correct way to snap a bullwhip.

Everyone also talked about the weirdest thing that has happened to them while onstage…it gets weird

It's an all new Dark Mark Show this week as Mark welcomes Ela Darling, the Marketing Director of ViRo Club and Adult Film performer and Santa Claus who took time out of his busy schedule to stop by.

Ela talked about how adult film stars tend to be deceptively smart, and how she got her Masters Degree in 2 years and became a librarian, who turn out to be freedom fighters. Mark complimented her acting while bound and having a ball gag in her mouth and she told the story about how she became the first Virtual Reality webcam girl which involves Dungeons and Dragons.

Check out the ultimate in adult interactivity. See the future that Ela was talking about on the show at viro.club

Santa was his usual jolly self, and acknowledged that Ela was the reason for the demand in VR helmets this year. He talked about his foot fetish in great detail and acknowledged Christmas' pagan roots. He also had gifts for Ela and cohost Hannah who called in and got a little naughty when Ela was seated on his lap.
