    Episode Description

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m breaking down how comparison can quietly derail your progress, your mindset, and your happiness—and more importantly, how to stop it. I walk through the decision you have to make daily to live from the inside out, and how to reinforce that belief through practice, self-awareness, and perspective. We dig into how social media impacts the way we view ourselves and others, and why even though some posts are just highlight reels, there are people out there truly doing the work... and that doesn’t have to threaten your process.

I share how to start observing your own triggers around comparison and how to shift your reaction from envy to curiosity. I also talk about the importance of setting your own benchmarks, pacing yourself, and remembering that there is no finish line—you can take breaks and still come back stronger. If you’ve ever found yourself thinking someone else has it all figured out while you’re stuck, this episode is a powerful reminder that you are not behind, you are just on your timeline.

    Episode Description:
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m breaking down one of the most powerful mindset shifts you can make. You simply decide to believe in yourself. I know it sounds basic, but this one decision can change everything. It’s not about waiting until you feel ready or confident. It’s about choosing to believe that you’re either already capable or that you’ll figure out what you need to learn.

Most people live in a constant loop of self-doubt, insecurity, and comparison. But there’s another path. A path where you build belief by choosing it and then reinforcing it daily. That reinforcement takes practice and consistency, but that’s where this podcast, the daily email, and all the content I put out comes in. I’m here to help you center your thoughts and keep coming back to that belief in yourself.

We talk about the power of choosing your thoughts, handling discomfort when trying new things, and how believing in yourself gives you the clarity and direction you’ve been looking for. If you want to stop spinning your wheels and start living with purpose and intention, this episode is for you.

    Episode Description:
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m kicking off a brand new series focused on what it really means to live an inside out life. Over the next 127 days, I’ll be diving deep into the foundational habits, thoughts, and beliefs that can help you appreciate and grow from every stage of your journey. We’ll explore how to build genuine self-trust, how to reflect on your past without judgment, and how to move forward with intention.

The number 127 is important to me, and you’ll see it come up often. That’s when the daily email goes out each day, and it also happens to be my birthday. So this series is not only personal, but it’s structured around a framework that has helped me and many others shift how we approach growth, mindset, and daily action.

If this is your first time listening, you picked the perfect time to start. And if you’re returning to the show, welcome back. Each day in this series will include a focused podcast episode and a blog post that ties into a larger theme. Eventually, all of these will come together as an ebook, but for now, I’m focused on walking through this with you one day at a time.

Be sure to subscribe, rate, and review if you haven’t already. And sign up for the daily email so you don’t miss any of the insights, questions, or reflections that come along with this process.

    Episode Description:
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m giving you a real-time update on how I’m adjusting my cardio routine while recovering from a lingering foot injury. I’ve been experimenting with daily cardio minimums using the stair climber and recumbent bike, aiming to find a sustainable foundation that keeps my body moving without aggravating my heel or knee pain.

I talk about what’s working, what isn’t, and how I'm using a mix of intervals, mobility, and stretching to keep things progressing. You’ll also hear how I’m listening to audiobooks during these sessions to keep my mind engaged instead of looping through the same music playlist.

This episode is a behind-the-scenes look at how I make adjustments based on how my body is responding, while staying consistent with activity and staying mindful of recovery. I also share my thought process around testing limits, evaluating setbacks, and keeping things flexible.

If you’ve ever tried to build a routine around injury, recovery, or just needed to figure out your own “minimum effective dose” of movement, this one’s for you.

    Episode Description:

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m talking about why taking a break from your daily routine is not only helpful but often necessary. I took a step back for a couple days, and it gave me just enough mental space to look at things differently. Even something as simple as reorganizing my kitchen routine made me think about how stepping away can help us come back with a fresh perspective.

I get into why it's okay to pause your structure, how momentum still plays a role, and why giving your mind space to breathe is valuable for mental clarity and creativity. I also explain how I structure my work—especially podcasting, blogging, and social media content—and why some of it is planned in advance while other parts are done in real time. This podcast is one of those things I love doing in the moment, and today’s episode is exactly that.

We also talk about how mental and emotional health ties into our productivity and presence. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or mentally exhausted, you're not alone. And no, there’s nothing wrong with you. I encourage therapy as a tool for everyone, not just when things are tough, but as an ongoing way to check in with yourself.

If you’ve been listening and find these episodes helpful, I’d love to hear from you. Shoot me an email and let me know how you’re doing or what you’ve taken away from the podcast. And if you’re new here, welcome. Please subscribe, rate, and review—it really helps get the message out.

    Episode Description:

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m talking about something that stops a lot of people from ever starting… the fear of failure. That fear might always be with you, but it doesn’t have to control you. The truth is, fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, and fear of things not going the way you planned will always exist. But so will your desire to do the thing that’s been pulling at you for years.

The only way to overcome fear is through action. Not perfect action. Not “confident” action. Just action. When you move forward in spite of fear, you’ll realize that setbacks and rejection are part of the process. And what you gain in return is growth, progress, and the freedom of knowing you won’t live with regret.

If you’ve been holding back or rationalizing why now isn’t the time, I hope this episode is the nudge you need. You’re capable. You just have to believe it long enough to start.

    Episode Description:

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m talking about what it really means to continue showing up. It’s not just about pushing through workouts or checking off boxes. It’s about showing up for yourself emotionally and mentally, especially during the hard times.

We all face moments where we feel like we’re taking steps backward, where emotions are overwhelming, or when the easiest thing to do is shut it all down. But real growth comes from feeling what you need to feel, sitting in those emotions, and learning how to observe them without judgment.

I share why it’s important to be kind and compassionate toward yourself in those moments when the world feels like it’s chewed you up. I also explain how therapy has helped me build a stronger connection with myself and why I believe it’s such a valuable tool if you have access to it.

My goal with this episode is to remind you that showing up isn’t just about the surface-level stuff. It’s about working through what’s happening underneath, and learning to support yourself the same way you’d support a close friend.

You’re not alone in this. And if you’re still listening by the end, that means you’re already doing the work. Keep showing up for you.

    Episode Description

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m diving into something that gets lost in the noise of social media, fitness trends, and everyday expectations—what makes you unique.

We’re constantly scrolling, comparing, and trying to fit in. Even in spaces where we’re told to “stand out,” we often end up blending in by chasing every trend or mimicking what others are doing. It’s not intentional. It’s just easy to fall into. But the real challenge—and opportunity—is connecting with who you actually are.

I share how our similarities help us form initial connections, but it’s our differences that truly deepen those relationships and add value to our daily lives. The quirks. The unique perspectives. The things we may have once tried to hide or felt self-conscious about. Those are often the very things that make us most interesting and relatable.

When you start living from the inside out, you stop trying to be someone else and start appreciating the characteristics that make you, you. That’s when you begin to attract the right people into your life, whether online or off. The people who are on a similar wavelength. The people who get it.

I also talk about why journaling is such a powerful tool to help you reconnect with yourself. You don’t have to write a novel. Just a few honest thoughts each day can help you notice your patterns, question old narratives, and begin to fully own your uniqueness.

So if you’ve ever felt like you're just trying to keep up or you’re unsure what sets you apart, this episode is your reminder to slow down and lean into the real you. Not the curated version. The real one.

Because at the end of the day, your individuality is your strength. Not something to hide or minimize. Something to own.

Let this be your sign to reconnect with yourself. Observe. Reflect. And write it out.

You are one of one. And that’s the point.

    Episode Description
In this episode, I’m updating you on how I’m structuring both this podcast and The Your Level Fitness Podcast moving forward. The Daryl Perry Podcast will continue to be a daily audio journal where I talk about all the personal stuff I’m navigating, with health and fitness as an undertone. This is where I document life, ideas, and all the things I’m thinking through in real time.

Meanwhile, The Your Level Fitness Podcast is coming back in mid-April and will have more of a health and fitness focus with shorter episodes built around responses to real comments and questions I get on social. I’ll still talk about broader mindset topics there, but that show will be the go-to if you want a more structured approach around building a sustainable health and fitness lifestyle.

On this podcast, though, I’ll be sharing more of my behind-the-scenes process—what’s working, what I’m testing, and how I’m continuing to build my brand and business while also working on my own journey. I’ve been back in a weight loss phase myself for the last year. I’ve had to rework my routines, rethink how I cope with stress, and put some new structures in place while still giving myself the space to be human.

I talk about the importance of having a solid foundation you can come back to no matter what life throws at you. I share how therapy, flexibility, and realistic self-talk have been key parts of that process for me. Life changes, and sometimes all it takes is one shift to make everything else feel out of sync. That’s why it’s so important to be able to adapt without throwing everything away.

You’ll also hear about how I’m balancing my personal fitness journey with the coaching and content I create. I’ve always wanted to make sure that my work isn’t my identity. And while I’m proud of what we’re building with YLF, I also want to make space for the other parts of life. That includes sharing adventures with Heather, documenting growth, and letting this podcast be an ongoing record of the process.

If you're into health and fitness, make sure you check out The Your Level Fitness Podcast when it relaunches. If you're here for the broader mindset and life updates, stick around. Either way, I appreciate you being here.

    Episode Description

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m diving into the core of what it means to live an inside out life. Instead of chasing external validation, success, or relationships that temporarily fill a void, this approach starts with building a deeper connection to yourself.

We’re talking about how your relationship with others mirrors the one you have with yourself. If you struggle with self-worth, boundaries, or feel like you're always guarding your energy, it might be because you haven't truly taken the time to value who you are from within.

I get into people pleasing and why it’s often a disguised attempt at getting something in return, even if it looks selfless on the surface. I share thoughts on how we often treat access to ourselves like it's a given, when really it should be a privilege. I also explain why kindness doesn’t mean overextending yourself and how protecting your peace is an act of self-respect.

This episode is for anyone who’s tired of surface-level living and wants to start building relationships, boundaries, and a life that reflects their real worth.
