Episode Description:
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m diving into the mindset shift that changes everything: living from the inside out. Instead of relying on validation or fulfillment from outside sources, we focus on choosing to accept, appreciate, and embrace ourselves at every phase of life. This is a deliberate decision that leads to a calmer, more purposeful life.
You’ll hear me talk about how chasing external validation is exhausting and why feeling behind in life is often a matter of perception, not truth. The truth is, you're not behind. You’re on your own unique path, with a one-of-a-kind blend of experiences shaping your journey. We’ll also unpack how comparison can steal your joy and how journaling or simply reflecting on what you're grateful for can bring you back to the present moment.
This is a reminder that the loudest voices online don’t have to guide your life. You can pull back, reconnect with yourself, and move at your own pace. When you do that, everything becomes more manageable. You feel more grounded and intentional.

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m walking you through a powerful new tool I just launched that takes less than ten seconds a day but can have a big impact on how you feel mentally, emotionally, and physically. It's a simple morning check-in that helps you pause, observe where you're at, and either acknowledge your wins or course-correct your mindset for the day.
We talk about what it means to live an inside out life instead of constantly chasing external validation. I explain how this tool fits into the self-paced approach to personal growth and how it can help you stay grounded without needing to be perfect.
If you’ve been looking for a way to build awareness without judgment and start each day with intention, this is for you. I also break down the different ways you can work through the YLF process, from doing it solo with blog resources to getting more support through The YLF Experience.
The check-in is linked in the show notes and can easily be saved to your phone’s home screen for daily use. If you're into tracking how you're doing and learning to let go of what you can't control, this might just become your favorite new daily habit.

Episode Description:
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I talk about something that feels more necessary than ever right now. We are surrounded by messages that keep us chasing things outside of ourselves. But what we really need is to reconnect with who we are on the inside and let that drive everything else. This is what it means to live an inside out life.
I get into the difference between that inside out mindset and the outside in one that most of us have followed at some point. I also touch on how hopelessness, anxiety, and regret can trap us and how important it is to shift into realistic optimism. That means believing things can work out because you’re doing the work and navigating life with purpose.
We need more people reinforcing hope and control. You have the ability to change what you can and build the life you want. This podcast, along with the work I do at Your Level Fitness, is here to remind you of that every day.
This is a shorter episode, but it’s packed with a reminder we all need. You’re not alone in this. And if this message resonates with you, I want to hear from you.

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, we dive into how movement impacts mental and emotional well-being. Exercise isn’t just about physical health, it’s about how it makes you feel in the moment. Whether it’s a quick walk outside, a gym session, or simply taking breaks to move throughout the day, these small actions can have a significant effect on your mood, stress levels, and overall mindset.
Daryl shares his personal experiences with movement, from short outdoor walks to structured workouts, and why finding what you truly enjoy is the key to consistency. Instead of forcing yourself to stick to rigid fitness routines, the goal is to discover the aspects of movement that bring instant gratification—because that’s what helps build sustainable long-term habits.
If you’ve been struggling with staying consistent, this episode offers a fresh perspective on how to make movement something you actually look forward to. Take the time to notice what aspects of exercise make you feel good, whether it’s the fresh air, the feeling of accomplishment, or simply being disconnected from technology for a little while.
Daryl also highlights the importance of balancing structure and personal preference when it comes to fitness, and how The YLF Experience can help guide you through that process if you’re looking for more support.

In today’s episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, we’re breaking down how fitness marketing skews our body image and keeps us chasing unrealistic expectations. The fitness industry—and many industries—profit by making you feel out of control. They convince you that there’s an “ideal body” you should be striving for, even though body trends constantly change. They sell solutions that make it seem like achieving a certain look is simple, yet in reality, results vary for every person.
Your ideal body is the one you have, not because it won’t change, but because it will continue evolving as you take care of yourself. Your health is about so much more than just appearance, but marketing messages push an unattainable standard, leading people to constantly chase the next trend.
We also take a deeper dive into transformation photos, before-and-afters, and the fine line between showcasing progress and misleading potential clients. While trainers and coaches often use these images to highlight success, the reality is that results are not one-size-fits-all. The industry often places a disclaimer in fine print—“Results not typical”—while spending the majority of their marketing efforts convincing you otherwise.
Another key area of discussion today is how fitness slogans oversimplify the process. Phrases like “Calories in, calories out”, “The best diet is the one you can stick with”, and “Discipline is doing what you don’t want to do” get repeated so often that people accept them as absolute truth. But real success in health and fitness comes from understanding nuance and learning how to build sustainable habits based on your preferences, not just following generic advice.
So, how do we shift the focus from chasing an impossible standard to actually building a lifestyle that works? By embracing an inside-out approach—connecting with who you are, setting up habits based on what you enjoy, and allowing your body and mind to develop in a way that’s sustainable long-term.
We’ll also talk about the self-paced resources available to help you work through this process, whether you’re diving into the YLF Blog, receiving The Daily Email, or joining The YLF Experience for more guidance.
If you’ve ever felt frustrated by fitness marketing, this episode will give you the tools to step back, rethink the messaging you’re consuming, and take control of your own process.

Episode Description: How Failure Fuels Growth
In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, we’re diving into how failure—something so many people fear—can actually be one of your greatest assets. If you shift your perspective and start seeing failure as a learning experience rather than a reflection of your worth, it will completely change how you approach goals, challenges, and personal growth.
Most people hesitate to put themselves out there because they’re afraid of what could go wrong. But here’s the truth—failing at something means you had the courage to try. It means you took a step forward. And even if it didn’t go as planned, you gained insight that will help you refine your approach moving forward.
I share a personal example of launching an online platform that didn’t work out the way I expected. But through that experience, I gained valuable lessons that helped shape how I structure and organize my content today. If I had let that experience define me as a failure, I wouldn’t have been able to adapt and move forward in a way that ultimately benefited my work.
We also talk about why people struggle with failure and how to separate a failed attempt from being a failure. The more you practice failing, the less intimidating it becomes. You start seeing setbacks as part of the process rather than something to avoid at all costs.
So if you've been holding back from pursuing something because you’re afraid it won’t go perfectly, this episode is for you. Just start failing. Seriously. The faster you get comfortable with failure, the more successful you’ll be in the long run.
