Australian tennis icon Margaret Court has polarised Australia in the last week with her strong opposition to gay marriage, homosexuality and transgenderism.

There have been calls to rename "Margaret Court Arena" in Melbourne, the home of the Australian Open with some players indicating they will boycott the venue in January.

Grumpy Guys Steve Old and Tom Lynch answered the big question- should the venue be renamed! 

After the State Budget was handed down last week by Treasurer Peter Gutwein,  Labor leader Rebecca White outlined her own shadow budget this week.

She visited Dave & Al at Triple M this morning to explain why Health is the biggest budget issue we face and how Labor will generate more full-time jobs.

New Hurricanes coach Gary Kirsten has spent the last week in Hobart commencing the transformation of the purple army into a winning combination.

Kirsten was a brilliant South African batsman before a stellar career as a coach leading India to a World Cup win and South Africa to number 1 Test side.

Gary told Triple M's Dave & Al that he won't be reinventing the wheel in Hobart but has very specific selection criteria for his team.

Triple M today launched its Give ME 5 FOr Kids campaign for 2017 at Luxbet Park in front of a large crowd consisting of staff from the Royal Hobart Hospital CHildren's Ward, families with sick children who use the RHH, corporate fundraisers for GM5 and many politicians from all sides of politics. Dave & Al had a very emotional chat with parents Naomi and MAtthew about the fight for life of their son Jeremiah.

After the tragic Manchester bombing Matt Deighton brought Hobart up to date with the latest information form the UK and discussed the implications for Australia and our own families.

Tassie's House Rules contestants Sean and Ella visited Triple's Dave Noonan Show and were up front with Dave & Al about some of the other couples on the show.

The couple made it clear that there is no love lost between them and Victorian friends Fiona and Nicole and the relationship with NSW couple Troy and Bec is not much better.

Dave poses the question of whether euthansia should be legalised to the Angry Birds. An extremely emotive and important topic which the girls all have a very passionate stance on.

After Al left her laptop and her car keys in Brisbane over the weekend, her brother organised to have it air freighted down the next morning. Al decided to record the phone call she made to her brother to tell him that they'd managed to send her laptop on the wrong flight to the wrong city! She knew he would be far from impressed :)
