Due to the world's rejection of the absolute truth of the Bible, and thus the absolute truth of God's definition of manhood, masculinity has become culturally irrelevant. This is the strategy used by the enemy in his attack on manhood.

When we understand that true manhood comes from God and God alone, it becomes our responsibility to emulate His character, as to fulfill our commission of biblical masculinity.

Boys grow up clueless regarding what it means to be a man, when they don't have an example in a father figure to follow. Manhood is inherited from the example of a godly father, more than it is learned from pastors in a church. Manhood is passed down from father to son.

Boys will learn manhood by witnessing the lifestyle of a father figure who reflects the nature of God, and draws his sense of validation and identity from his relationship with God.

In this episode, David directly confronts the sensitive issue of LGBTQ. Most Christians have no idea how to communicate the message of the gospel to people in the LGBTQ community with a balance of both grace AND truth. The fallacy of cultural relevance has caused the modern church to strip the gospel of its transformational power in order to avoid offense. Although the gospel will offend people at times, we need to be bold to preach the whole counsel of God regardless. We must understand that God loves and accepts everyone, no matter what sins they're struggling with, but His grace does NOT condone sin...it provides the power to overcome it and wash it away.

LGBTQ is an effort of the enemy to undermine the created purpose and value of human beings. For this reason, we must also understand that identity crisis is the root issue behind the increase of the LGBTQ lifestyle.

When we understand the pain and abuse that has caused people to take refuge in the LGBTQ community, it should evoke compassion...not rage. Jesus calls us to be beacons of hope in this world. We're here to show people who they really are, who they were created to be, who their Father is, and that the blood of Jesus is more than enough to redeem us from every sin and every pain.

In this episode, intended to be a continuation of last week's episode, David talks about the various situations in which the doctrine of "turn the other cheek" does not apply. Biblically, there are a few situations in which physical force is expected, in order to rightfully protect one's nation, and one's family. There are those who have a divine authority to execute vengeance on evil doers, as to preserve moral integrity, and there are those who do not. As Christians, we function not as enforcers of judicial law, but as ambassadors of a heavenly kingdom. Who we represent determines how we are to respond to certain attacks. As followers of Jesus, we overcome aggression with love. As husbands and fathers, we protect our families. And as a people, we defend our nation.

Masculinity is traditionally associated with toughness, physical strength, aggression, and virility. However, from a biblical standpoint, the typical concept of aggression and manly strength, in reality, is actually weakness. Physical strength does not make you a man. In this episode, David explains that true, manly strength is not uncontrolled aggression, but a fierce love. The strongest man is the one who rules over his emotions and carries himself with an unerring self-control, in spite of mistreatment and provocation. The strongest man is the one who is gentlest under provocation. But what then is godly aggression? When is it right and noble for a man to use a form of aggression? And how does that play out? That is also answered in this episode, by use of an example in the life of the Lord Jesus -- the epitome of manhood -- who demonstrated aggression in a way that was noble, godly, and admirable. A certain form of aggression is sometimes necessary, but it is only to be motivated by love, not by emotional impulse or a desire for revenge. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21).

The previous episode dealt with the qualities to look for in a future wife. This episode focuses on the kind of man we need to be in order to attract a virtuous woman. Apart from the ulterior motive of attracting a mate, this episode, also by use of a downloadable list, digs into the central character qualities of a godly man. Qualities such as servant-leadership, sacrificial love, prudence, and wisdom are specifically discussed in this episode.

In this fourth episode of a series on dating and marriage, David talks about the character qualities that the Bible says we are to look for in a future wife. Through the combination of various scriptures and a "checklist" that David developed as young as fourteen years old, he describes the virtuous and godly woman that every man of God in search of a mate should keep an eye out for. In a modern world that's bent of promiscuity, most men approach dating and marriage with a subconsciously worldly mindset. A culture of adultery, loose commitments, and pornography has poisoned the minds of most men. For this reason, before entering into a relationship, men need to renew their mind to a biblical perspective and learn to see women through God's eyes. In this third episode of a current series on dating and relationships, David addresses the difficult issue of sexual temptation, exhorting men to pursue their relationship with God as the only path to freedom from the lust of the world. If the joy of God's created design for marriage is ever to be experienced, we cannot allow an overtly sexual world to objectify women, and thus, depreciate their priceless value. Revelation of God's love and grace, and of our identity in Christ is only way to live a life of freedom and purity.

It's not about having a sexual outlet, it's not just about having children...marriage is about being a manifest reflection of God's love for humanity in the earth. If you don't know the purpose of marriage, you'll start dating with a complete misunderstanding of the purpose of a female counterpart, and will end up hurting a precious daughter of God. But if you do understand the purpose of marriage, you will develop a genuine honor and a Christ-like love that will lay the foundation for a lifetime of joy, adventure, and intimacy with one woman.
