James Gunn's "Superman: Man of Tomorrow" will feature Lex Luthor in his iconic purple and green "war suit," a battle armor that makes him a formidable physical foe for Superman. This design, first appearing in 1984's "Action Comics #544" and designed by George Perez for Kenner Toys' "Super Powers" line, briefly gave Luthor an "evil Iron Man" look. While post-Crisis comics largely reimagined Luthor as a billionaire CEO, the war suit has made several returns, with a bulkier version in 2004 and a more streamlined one later, cementing its place as an integral part of his arsenal.
