After a wild trip through the Multiversal Portal last week, the Good Brothers return for a month's worth of Justice League Unlimited episodes starting with this week's review of "Task Force X." To celebrate the holiday where everything is flipped upside down, the Good Brothers find themselves in a strange land where there are no Dark Knights or Men of Steel and come face to face with Ol' Webhead instead with their first (and perhaps only) review of Marvel's Spiderman: The Animated Series pilot episode "Night Of The Lizard." The hosts do their best to review the episode in a vacuum while still giving fair critique in the unfortunate comparison between their rival DC cartoons. Not only do the hosts talk about the somewhat ridiculous plot of a Lizard man wanting to turn all humans into Lizard people, but the standards and practices that kept the fighting to a minimum, a showrunner that was mostly interested in the sale of action figures first and foremost. Yet there's some charm from a decent voice cast with several DCAU veterans and a theme song that deserves its' own episode to appreciate its' awesomeness. All of this and much more fun await on this very special April Fools edition of the DCAU Review! Excelsior!

Fresh off celebrating episode 200 and having special correspondent Jordan Gibson last week, the hosts talk about Maxie Zeus's one and only appearance in the DCAU. Cal & Liam discuss an uneven tone for the episode, a lack of action and Batman being relegated to the background for most of the episode. Additionally hear about another home run of a soundtrack from the late, great Shirley Walker, a perfect voice casting for the role of Maxie and Batman versus a pair of wild animals! Fresh off of their 200th review, the Good Brothers are back with another fantastic Special Correspondent as artist Jordan Gibson from Batman The Adventures Continue joins the podcast for a discussion of the Batman: The Animated Series episode "His Silicon Soul."  Before the full episode break down, hear Jordan's introduction to the Batman character, his inspiration for his artistic stylings, and his dream DCAU series project. From there hear thoughts on the sequel to "Heart of Steel" which earned a perfect score from Cal and see how this child's dream of two Batmen fighting translates to an adult viewing. Happy The Batman Week! Everyone seems to be talking about The Batman so the Good Brothers decided to take advantage of that online discourse and review of the underrated 2004's animated The Batman and its' first Riddler episode, appropriately titled "Riddled." Cal and Liam take a look back at this series for the first time in 100 episodes, but are excited to discuss a very different and unique looking Riddler from most interpretations, that happens to be voiced by one of the biggest legends in horror movie history! With a plot that wouldn't be out of place in the Batman '66 series, Batman teams with Detective Yin to race across Gotham to try and uncover a VERY early 2000s plot involving Gotham's mainframe. Hear the hosts thoughts on not only the Riddler's look but the overall look of Gotham, the buffoonery from Chief Rojas, why this episode is fun and the common thread that seems to run through most Riddler stories. As the shortest month of the year draws to a close, the Good Brothers are still here and they're shining a big ol' spotlight on one of the darkest characters in the entire DC Universe, with volume one of Darkseid! Hear about his little known origins in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, and a trip back in time to some of the earliest episodes of Superman: The Animated Series that were covered on the podcast. From his debut in a precredit scene in "Tools of The Trade" to his series defining two part epic "Apokolips...Now!" hear the hosts talk about the legendary moments that would set the table for one of the biggest bads ever featured in the DCAU! The Good Brothers are still recovering from last week's doozy of an episode but soldier on nonetheless with this week's Superman: The Animated Series review of "Double Dose." One of the few episodes of Superman to feature a villain team-up, this one features dialogue and plot points that leave the hosts feeling a bit uncomfortable. With a ton of sexual-innuendo and in the dialogue, the hosts turn to visuals and music to rescue the scores and prevent it from being the second straight week where they're forced to bury the entire episode. The voice acting also features an entire cast of returning voices lending to a comfortability in the performances, despite not all of them being up to par.
