This time of year is known to be the season of light, so why not shine a big ol' spotlight on one of the original seven Justice League members? As the title would suggest, the Good Brothers discuss all things Shayera Hol of Thanagar for her appearances in season one of JL. From her first appearance in "Secret Origins" all the way up through the season one finale "The Savage Time", the hosts highlight the development of what was likely the most surprising inclusion for the DCAU incarnation of the super team. Along the way, they highlight the recurring blossoming relationship between John Stewart and herself, and how the writers successfully gave dimension to a character that initially was only known for her headstrong, warrior persona. 'Tis the season finale for Batman The Adventures Continue as the Good Brothers wrap up their coverage with a Giant-Sized bonus episode discussing not only "Mayor Mayhem Part III" but also the Mister Freeze/Robin story from the DC Holiday Special "'Tis The Season To Be Freezin'." The Good Brothers are back with another season one review of Justice League, this week covering "Metamorphosis" Parts One and Two. Coincidentally Metamorpho made his debut nearly 56 years to the day, in Brave and the Bold Number 57 on December 10th, 1965. This fun coincidence allowed Cal and Liam delve into the rich history of Ramona Fradon, one of the co-creators and trailblazers for women in comics, whom was clearly the inspiration for the art styles used for several of her featured characters. Additionally the hosts talk a plot that finds itself heavy on plot in part one, heavy on the action in part two, and heavy on Simon Stagg being a weirdo creep throughout both parts. The Good Brothers are back, continuing with their month of Static Shock reviews, this week with the return of two of their favorite recurring characters in Rubberband Man and Ebon and their latest obsession, Carmen Dillo. With a plot that focuses on Static's jealousy and suspicion of Rubberband Man's reform and Ebon trying his best to convince him that no one will ever believe he's changed, Cal and Liam discuss the underlying message while also imagining what a group of DCAU anthropomorphic super villain would look like. Plus the hosts talk about music that seems to have inspired a certain Soulja Boy track, and a choice by sound editors to add a vocal effect to one character makes it stand out from prior appearances. Also the hosts compare similar stories on other DCAU episodes and where this one ranks in the Static episodes reviewed thus far, and an exciting announcement about next week's exciting crossover episode!

After last week's exciting culmination of spoooooky season, this week brings the Good Brothers back to the DCAU and to Dakota with Static Shock and this week's episode "Grounded." Director James Tucker pens a series departure where the big bad isn't your typical Bang Baby of the week. Instead, Static finds himself face to face with a living amoeba and a subplot that has Frieda at war with the school admins about funding for the school paper. Hear the hosts discuss plot elements and visuals reminiscent of Scooby-Doo and a voice cast of 45 year-olds playing teenagers. Additionally Cal is inspired by Carmen Dillo's pun-tastic name and both hosts express some frustration with the inconsistent animation, which plot point subverted their expectations in a good way and another solid voice cast that grounds an otherwise outlier episode firmly in the DCAU. Plus. the hosts discuss which episode they'll be covering next week, and much more on this week's DCAU Review!
