Imagine growing up in a country that is designed to keep you down. Not just segregated but where the entire apparatus of the government is engineered with revenge in mind. Revenge for crimes you didn't even commit. From a time where you weren't even born.
This was life for the Tutsi people in Rwanda through the 70s and 80s.
But for those who had escaped, things weren't much better. In the dusty refugee camps of neighbouring Uganda, a generation was coming of age bitter and resentful of what had been taken from them. They plotted and planned for a day when they could take back what was rightfully theirs.
When they finally decided to take action, it would spark a brutal civil war within Rwanda and would set the scene for one of the greatest tragedies of all time.
