The New York Times reported that according to researchers, 2020 goes down in history as the saddest year - at least on Social Media. By gathering data on how many times words such as "depressed", "sad", "terrorist", "violence" were used, researchers concluded that in 2020, social media users were more negative than in any other year. In this episode we are debriefing on the effect of Social Media on our mental health. We discuss how the digital space has changed the way we connect; how we individually engage with social media platforms and our "brands"; and lastly we share things we do to make sure we keep our sanity while we scroll through the TL.
