Alright so a few things that I want to go over before actually dive into rules 3 and 4 inside of expert secrets for the attractive character first off I have been forgetting to have the the show notes recorded and I'm supposed to be out this before this is a feature inside of Google docs if you go into your Google Drive and create a Google Document right kind of like a Word document there is a feature if you go into If you go into tools you will see a feature for voice typing and this is a pretty awesome feature I've spoken about this before like I said so I can just speak and it will record and transcribe what I'm saying on to this document now that's it the first thing the second is we're getting closer and closer to the end of the year I've spoken about making sure that your goals are set and I've also been thinking about what I can do in January and one of the things that I like to do I've been doing this for a few years a few years now is I have a list of books that I want to read for the year this year coming up there will be a few books that are the same they're these aren't the same books I will read every single year and for good reason they will keep me focused and on track with what it is that I actually want to do so the first two books that I will have on my list is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill it's a it's kind of a long book but there are a lot of great lessons inside of that book especially with making sure that your goals are written down your identifying what your your vision looks like what it is that you actually want a definite definition of purpose something like that and then a bunch of other things trying to really solidify everything that you should be doing right so that's the first one the second is it is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and this book I've read in fact that I've actually lost count on how many times I've read this book I have the print version so I I read that but I also have the audio book and I've gone through that book a lot some of the other books that I may read again the richest man in Babylon and there's a few others for like augmon Dino that I might read Andy Andrews you know these are authors that you should look up if you're into performance or productivity and trying to improve as a person and especially taking a lot of the lessons from those books and applying it to not just your life but your business as well these are fantastic books there are a few others and I can't think of them right now but probably tomorrow I'll start writing down the books that I'm going to be reading and or listening so let's get into expert Secrets I was talking about the attractive character yesterday and going over rules one and two and I'll read rules 1 and 2 real quick before we dive into rules 3 and 4 aksar rule one become an attractive character and live life your audience wishes they could live and we went into that basically you need to be living that specific life that other people want to live so if you're into real estate like I am I need to be living the life that others want to achieve so that means I would be doing this full-time at which right now I'm not doing real estate full-time I'm a full-time software engineer and I do real estate part-time and then I would have a an office and all that so everything that I want to live like an and what I want out of real estate is going to take me a little bit because I have to make sure that I follow a plan that I've set in place so for everyone else out there you said that you know you don't have to worry about having a full-time job and then a part-time job and doing this and that and the other you can take a lot out of this book and apply it to yourself and in doing so you will become that person that your audience wants to become so real one becoming attractive character and live the life your audience wishes they could live and then rule number two is maintain absolute certainty which again you want to share your message with as many people as you possibly can as often as you possibly can so the frequency needs to be very high the quantity needs to be very high and then over time the quality of your message improves and so the higher the quality of your message the more meaningful your message is the more people you're going to reach and influence into following you and then as you believe the message that you're sharing so will everyone else EXO roast 3 and 4 real quick rule 3 don't be boring plain and simple don't be boring and then rule for is understand how to use persuasion worried that again rule 3 don't be boring rule for understand how to use persuasion I so let's dive into this I have the booking in front of me because I actually highlighted some things that stood out to me and so I want to share those hey Russell Brunson talks about becoming a prolific influencer you know someone that people are going to look at it and say this is the kind of person that I want to become does it kind of person that I'm going to follow I'm always going to buy what they have to sell things like that until he says when I said prolific it's someone who has abundant invent inventiveness someone who has abundance inventiveness they invent new UniQue Ideas all the time so what what I'm taking away from this is that when you've identified the niche that you want to become the expert in you've become that person that people want to watch it because right you you're living that life that people want to become and your message is absolute your message is influential and believable and and you're sharing that message daily when you are so entrenched in that specific niche in that market you start to become very creative because you you've gone the entire you gone for the entire gamut of what is possible inside of that specific Niche where everyone else starts doing the same thing over and over and over you're the one on the way out in left field coming up with new strategies new methods new marketing ideas new ways of selling a product or creating new products that are things that people didn't know they needed inside of the same niche until that's where that's where you are your audience will will want to go that's where you need to be that's the prolific index as Russell Brunson puts in here so he's got a a line on both ends of lines are the crazy people is it people that we're just not going to follow we make fun of us and they're the ones that scare us we're not going to buy from these people maybe maybe 1 or 2% of the population will ever buy from these crazy people and then and those are the people all the way down on the left and the right right so those are the ones on the very ends of this line and then right in the middle is the main screen that's where everyone is that's where everything gets flooded it's a red sea and not a blue sea and so that's where you don't want to be right you want to be in between the craziness all the crazy people and the mainstream you want to be in between those two either on the left or on the right does it matter what side you pick you want to be in between the crazies and the mainstream and that's where you're always going to be making money you're always going to have an audience that will buy from you they will follow you they will trust you these are the people that will believe in you no matter what and then I I highlighted a few other spots when when talking about the prolific index and not being boring yesterday I did talk about Dave asprey who created Bulletproof Coffee and he basically fell right into the prolific Zone and here's where my highlights kind of play into his story which I spoke about yesterday when your messages causes polarity it attracts attention and people will pay for it neutrality is boring and rarely is money made or chain created when you stay neutral being polar is what will attract rating fans and people who will follow you and pay for your advice and then I also highlighted another section as you become more polar in your message you will also notice that people on the other side of your message won't be happy about it by creating true fans you will always upset those on the other side so that's where this is what what ties into what I was talking about yesterday with Dave asprey and what the book actually talks about Dave asprey learned about some something in in Tibet where they had added butter to his his coffee or his tea or something and when he tried it he found that it was it just felt awesome right he felt awesome it tasted great and everything until he started experimenting with it and when he came back to the US he started experimenting and came up with Bulletproof Coffee where he has a coffee line called Bulletproof Coffee you can get that or just use your own coffee and then you add like kerrygold butter that way it's a grass-fed source not injected with any hormones or whatever so it's all natural and then you also add an MCT oil so all of that together will produce certain benefits for your body and I'm not going to get into that because that's probably an entirely different episode believe I have spoken about that before but right now I just want to talk about the attractive character so there's that you've got on that line you've got the the mainstream you got the crazies and then you've got the prolific Zone where you want to be and when you're there yeah you're going to cause people to hate you they're not going to agree with you these are your haters like everyone says haters going to hate and if you don't have any haters that means you not doing your job right so that's where you want to be you have to be in that John if you want to be successful for a very long time and if you want to generate any kind of Revenue extreme Revenue I would say you want to be in that that area rule number for understand how to use persuasion understand how to use persuasion now Russell Brunson talks about his one of his favorite books and it is the one-sentence persuasion course by Blair Warren the one-sentence persuasion course by Blair Warren this book and I looked it up it's a very short book I looked it up on Amazon it's about 30 some-odd pages so it's should I should be a very quick read there is no prank version so there's only a Kindle version apparently there also is a MP3 version and a written version but it's somewhere on the net and I'm not sure we're right now because I didn't really dive into it I just went onto Amazon real quick found it there the older version I believe it said was written back in like 2005 something like that so if I were you I would just go ahead and buy the Kindle version which I saw it was three bucks so just get that I don't know if you can find it online as a PDF if so awesome and do that but it's a very quick read and in the book Blair Warren goes over a and idea right and it's basically you are the one that is going to justify the failures of your audience you're going to have a lay their fears you're going to encourage their dreams you're going to confirm your suspicions and then you're going to help them throw rocks at their enemies and there's something that and I'll go into that but something that I highlighted which is people will do anything for those who encourage their dreams justify their failures allay their fears confirmed their suspicions and help them throw rocks at their enemies this specific section if you just listen to that and I'll read it again people will do anything for those who encourage their dreams justify their failures allay their fears confirmed their suspicions and help them throw rocks at their enemies if you just take that as your lesson that will be probably have your best solution to influencing as many people as possible when you find what your message is and you've solidified that message you've made it absolutely believe in it and you are living the life that other people want to live and then you start doing these things these these five things which is encouraging dreams just playing failures when you're doing this you are going to build a huge following people are going to they're going to love you they're going to believe in your they're going to trust you they're going to buy anything and everything that you have to sell and so let me go into each each idea or each part of this so the first thing is encouraging their dreams everyone has a different idea of what they want to do right everyone's vision is completely different if they have the exact same vision as you do then they haven't really identified exactly what it is they want because their Visions should not match your visit now that's not to say that maybe your mission is to bring clean water to third world countries maybe that's your mission but that may not be your vision and so people may see a mission as a vision and you need to be able to help them identify what their vision is and in doing so you're also helping them to build their dreams what are their dreams you you need to encourage them to really bring out your thoughts they start to become reality so that's why a lot of entrepreneurs a lot of high-producing entrepreneurs write their goals down every single day they write down there yeah they're affirmations they write down their gratitude when you start doing that you write down your dreams right you're going to you're going to start making them a reality so you want to encourage that you want to help them build their dreams the next thing is justifying their failures you've been there you've done that you've probably been in the same situation as they have and you need to justify the failure you need to let them know that hey look for some reason something didn't work and it can be that maybe they missed a step maybe they they weren't at the right place at the right time it could be someone else's fault but in this specific scenario they need to start taking responsibility for their actions now they do talk about dr. Phil and how he's always saying hey you need to take responsibility for your for your actions and not you're not looking to have someone else take responsibility for what happened to you now there is a difference right so if you are victim of something then how are you going to take responsibility for being a victim you can't just can't that's for me as I think of it that's you're just not going to do that your victim and that's it it wasn't your fault right but you as the leader as the person that is going to be encouraging their dreams you need to justify their failures and that way they'll be open to trying out new ideas trying out new opportunities this way when you just by their failures now they're given reason you've given logic to their their failures now they may be more open to actually following you and doing exactly what you're asking them or telling them to do and then and then we move on to the next section witches allay their fears everyone's going to have some form of fear fear failure fear of missing out fear of success fear of rejection and you need to do help them get through that and you need to make sure that you identify every fear that they may have when they are going to be following you when they are going to be buying from you I dress every possible fear they may have so that by the end of it there are no fears whatsoever and that would get into confirming their suspicions everyone's going to be suspicious of whatever it is there's always a hook or there's always that moment wait for it here it comes and here's where you ask them to pay a ton of money for a product that they might a product or service that they might be able to get Elsewhere for a lot cheaper but then they may not get the kind of service the kind of coaching or mentoring that comes along with it and so you need to make sure that you are you by identifying all of their suspicions you've confirmed their suspicions especially when when you have perspective members when you have people that are looking to join you and maybe they're friends or family are trying to tell them not to join because of how I heard about this guy that did something like that and and he failed and now he's not married to so-and-so and this and that and the other where they may not have all the details of what exactly happened so you need to confirm all of their suspicion yes people are going to try and persuade you to not do what whatever it is that you're wanting to do people are going to give you reason not to if that's the case if I'm the one that I'm wanting to do something specific I want to join some kind of membership and it costs thousands of dollars per month and I know everything that comes along with that is super beneficial and if I stick with it then things are going to turn around when I bring that up to everyone else and ask them what should I do yet some people might say you know what you should do that definitely. There's always going to be a few people that will try to persuade me not to do that they would ask why would you do that why can't you find that somewhere else or don't do that you're going to fail right they don't really know what's going to happen so they're suspicious and now they're making their trying to make me suspicious so now I need to be I need to be persuaded to join that membership and show any of my suspicions need to be justified they need to be confirmed and so yes I'm going to experience that yes people are going to say this until you need to make sure that you are addressing those those issues and then the last part is throw rocks at your enemies or throw rocks at their enemies sorry and that is building a US versus them kind of culture and that's where you're going to really build a following a culture or culture that's where the people that are buying from you or they're paying for your your product and service when you are helping them throw rocks at their enemies in their enemies can be anything that could be a person who could be a product that could be a service could be any kind of fears that they may have or any kind of maladies right so if they're sick and maybe they have a mild case of diabetes right you can help them throw rocks at that by knowing that you can help them change their diet which is the one thing that's one of the things that will help to kind of reverse the diabetes help them get into a regular exercise program or some kind of Fitness regime that also will help them to start changing that symptom that that malady that are that they have a light case of diabetes and then educate them in how they can regulate their glucose levels right making sure they stick to certain things that they stick to diets and time frames that they need to eat and when they when they need to work out and how they're going to do that all these different things can actually lead to reversing there are case of diabetes it can happen and so that's where you are helping them throw rocks at their enemies so their enemy could be diabetes their enemy could be apple maybe they hate apple and you're a Android provider and you come out with the next best phone now you're helping them throw rocks at Apple now I say this and I'm an Apple guy I love Apple iPhone I have an iMac and I'm recording on a MacBook using GarageBand yes, I'm an Apple guy but I'm okay saying you know if you are a Android person and your Android provide health and throw rocks at Apple I'm okay with it whatever so those are the two rules that I wanted to go over for the attractive character and I'll read them again just to review so don't be boring right when you are like I said when you are so entrenched in your Niche you start coming up with all these new ideas these creative inventions and whatnot and that's where where you are going to start developing a prolific zone for yourself you're going to be right in between the crazies and the mainstream and that's where people want to want to go does it doesn't people that that's where you're going to find the people that will always buy from you and that's where you're also going to create haters if you're not creating haters you're not doing your job right so do that and then rule number for understand how to use persuasion so even if that means reading and studying the one-sentence persuasion course by Blair Warren it's like I said pages on a Kindle ebook get it at 3 Box on Amazon study it read it read it over and over and over again until it's a part of you you will start to understand how you need to create that kind of culture within your audience so that they will always follow you and trust you and believe in you and want to buy from you over and over and over again or you can also study some other books like influence I believe the author is Robert Shield Donnie or something like that and then maybe study NLP neuro-linguistic programming tools that can help you influence and persuade people to buy from you to follow you and believe in you and trust you and once you start doing that you start becoming that attractive character that will draw people to them and and people are going to want to buy from you they're going to want to follow you and that is it so now I have the show notes actually recording because I missed out the past couple days cuz I don't have a checklist of things that I need to do before I start recording which I will probably do that tonight and that is it we have what after today two more days tomorrow's the 29th three more days 29th 30th and 31st start writing down your goals for 2019 start writing down a list of books that you want to read for 2019 doesn't have to be like 52 books we read a book A Week can if you want but what I try to do is stick to about ten bucks for the year print books and then I'll read a bunch of or listen to a bunch of audio books and then we will start something new in January and I'm still thinking about doing the total immersion thing that I spoke about in a few episodes ago or maybe a while ago actually where I pick a specific topic or specific skill-set and just dive completely into it and talk about my experience with it and then also I'll be getting back into the 5 a.m. club and talking about that experience and building that had it back up again I've been completely off of it for a while now and especially now because I'm on vacation and kind of taking my time with what I'm doing so that is it.

I started reading Expert Secrets by Russell Brunson again and talk about the Attractive Character and go into the first two rules for creating that character.  I also talk about how I'm developing my attractive character with this podcast and wrap up with a few tips for setting your goals for 2019.

I discuss some things I learned from Adam Carolla's Podcasting Masterclass about the podcast industry and growing your podcast to a point where you have a large subscriber/listener audience and getting advertisers so that you can start making a living out of it.

I am excited to share something new I just learned about that will help me provide more value to you over time.  It's Google's Voice Typing to create show notes.  I explain how it works and what you can do with it.  As I get better with my podcasting, the show notes will come along with it... I'll just have to edit the show notes after each recording or get someone else to do it.

Everyone I just discovered this new tool that not really a tool just a feature that has been present probably for a long-ass time I just discovered it and not really discovered it I just learned about it and it's amazing when I when I learned about it I was like holy s*** this is actually going to help me become a better podcast or at least provide better value in my episodes so at first and foremost I am actually recording this on Saturday it's for Sunday because after talking with my wife about what we are going to do with the weekend we're actually going away today and there's going to be total chaos where we're going so I wanted to get this recorded as soon as possible. I just discovered this thing and I'm using it right now I'm I'm actually watching this or this new feature being used as I speak this is something that is available in Google Docs if you are using Google Chrome and it is the It is a feature called voice typing and what you do is you go into Google Docs or I believe you can go into there. They're slideshow kind of their product for slides and do the same thing and all you do is create a new document you go to tools and select voice typing what you do that it will try and connect with your microphone you allow Google Chrome access to the microphone basically tell everyone that pay we are doing this we're going to start recording and I tested this thing out just a little while ago I was like you know what I want to see if I can actually get this thing recording and transcribing at the same time so what's great about it is that I don't have to go through and and listen to my podcast or have a VA listen to the podcast and transcribe everything by hand this is doing it for me now I would have to go through the document and edit the document myself or have a VA go through the document while listening to the podcast and actually put in punctuation where it should be and breaking up the contents or that it's a little bit more legible but just when you're just using this the way it is it's amazing like it basically just blew my mind I was like holy s*** this is actually something I'm going to start implementing and using because there are tons of podcast that I've listened to that have a reference to their show notes and that's where they will have a transcript of the entire show especially if it's a interview you want to be able to read the actual interview so that you can print it out make notes right which is probably something that I would end up doing now that I know about this and it also allows you to listen to the podcast the first time going through the audio and then actually making notes as you read through the the interview making notes so that you're all that information is fresh in your mind now what's great about this voice typing is that now if I'm creating another ebook I can actually just record my voice and have Google actually transcribe it so I don't have to keep typing I can actually just speak it and look at my notes as I'm speaking so that I can create an ebook and publish something a lot faster it did take me probably a good two weeks to create the ebook that I just did I finished it finally yesterday got everything done all the images are done now I'm all the content is done I kept going back in and adding additional content but I was like you know what at some point I have to cut it off I have to say you know what I'm done no more edits no more new information being added to this whatsoever so using this tool is actually going to help me in the long run create more ebooks or more content especially if I'm going to do some logging as well so I do have my website MiguelFeliciano.com which I believe is on a WordPress platform I know it at one point I actually had this thing running on a different platform and I was able to make a lot of customization coding-wise but now put it on a WordPress platform and I still have to go in and and customize quite a bit of it so I do have the at this podcast the whole show on my website so you can actually go to MiguelFeliciano.com I believe it's under the podcast link and you'll be able to look at the the different episodes that are there so it's just a snippet of code that I grabbed from Podbean where the show is being hosted and I just plugged that code into my website but now with the voice typing being able to host the show notes at it's actually going to deliver more more value to you the listener and anyone else looking to learn more about what I'm doing and be able to implement it especially if I have links to websites resources tools that I'm using so that's that's a great thing and the other thing is that it doesn't have to be used for podcasting. It can be used for podcasting but it can also be used not just for writing an e-book but also creating your video sales letter so if you are creating a slideshow and then you know you're recording the audio as things are being typed up or however it's going to work I'll have to play with that one and see how that works you're with the slides then I can basically published that slideshow with my recording with the all the texting in the slides as a video and that can be my video sales letter it's something that is taught in the ClickFunnels platform mainly on their funnel scripts which is another product inside of ClickFunnels that you can get I learned about it I used it to create a video sales letter for the veterancashoffer.com website which is currently live as well and it was a it was a pretty cool idea but trying to get there was a little bit of work I had to put in some work to to get that done. So now I'm going to see what I can do with this voice typing from Google and that's it.

I decided to dive deeper into podcasting by picking up Adam Carolla's Master Class on podcasting.  He explains his history with podcasting in the first lesson and reveals that podcasting is a long-term business and that we need to focus on the marathon.
