The Oscars are this Sunday, and that makes for two very excited co-hosts of this podcasts. If you don't follow the inner workings of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, you might have missed a proposal last year to add a category for best 'Popular' film. This idea was (rightly) scrapped, but Jake Christie and Michael Springthorpe have endured to pick the movies that would have won that award had it existed in the 21st century.
If you're not a big Oscars movie person--you're in luck! This podcast is specifically about movies that are NOT often in Oscar contention.
