Arrogance is a complex of sins, meaning it isn't just one sin, but many sins. It is an attitude of the soul. Arrogance manifests as an unrealistic self-image—the delusion that you're smarter than God. 

“Fools make a mockery of sin, but among the righteous there is favor.” In Lamentations 3:25, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him.” (Prov 14:9)

“Don't forget my teaching, let your heart keep my mandates and they will provide length of years to your life and peace they will add to you.” (Prov 3:1-2)
