Today's episode was admittedly a bit demure. But I wanted to share it because it was a bit of an authentic ramble. I like to call myself a 'creator', but sometimes I doubt if I am. This isn't something that is designed to inspire sympathy or empathy, rather something to create a thought: How am I connecting in a digital space? Do I REALLY understand others? Am I seeking to understand or am I looking more to be understood? And in that regard, how can I achieve balance?

A recent Sunday, I caught myself avoiding interactions with everyone I could. I thought I was stepping back from them, but I realize now that I was pushing away, because I didn't want to interact with anyone. And so today, I chose to vocalize those thoughts and explore some examples of the 'why' behind interactions being draining, and to try and create a healthy approach for myself to discern when I am stepping back versus pushing away, and how to stop pushing when I realize that I am.

Side note: I actually recorded this last week, then swapped out for last weeks ep. Today I wanted to talk about our friends versus our fans, and some of the confusion that surrounds the two, especially when misinformation, miscommunication, and expectations get involved. I hope this is a good listen.

Today with the rush of tax day among a host of other things, I am actually seeking help. How do we slow down and enjoy the moment? How do we spend more time doing the things that we love? Like I am honestly wondering...if you listen and you have any feedback, please come find me and let me know!

I feel that our world so desperately needs more tolerance...however...I also feel that specific types of tolerance...the tolerance that we do so that we are more well liked, is dangerous. So let's talk about it a little bit, and look at it analytically. Let's ask ourselves the question: why am I putting up with this?

For me personally, my favorite white noise is no noise. I know that in some cases the quiet can make the mean voices louder, however I am someone who is able to find immense comfort in essentially nothing. I have even caught myself lately driving with no music, walking in silence, etc. But how about you? What is a comfortable place for you, and how do you maximize it?

Today I kinda wanted to ramble about how some percieved disrespects have affected me, especially from having respect instilled in me at such a young age. However I didn't really learn self respect until much later in life. This one got a little feelsy also. I didn't mention anything specifically triggering, but I was definitely triggered by some things going on in our world. Please enjoy the listen.

Today's ep was tough to record and even tougher to share. I really appreciate everyone for being on this ride with me, but it would be unfair to create the expectation of permanence if I am a toxic portion of your life. That said, let's talk about it for a bit. Why do we hang on to things that we know we need to let go of. HMU on socials to continue the conversation.

There is a dangerous stigma around the term "Parasocial Relationship", be it a percieved friendship, co-workers, celebrities and their fans...etc. And with Awards season closing out, and admittedly, some very interesting interactions I have both been a part of and have observed externally, I kinda wanted to dive in and chit chat about it...and I would REALLY love your feedback. Today I wanted to talk about the balance in comfort. Think about Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and how she was constantly seeking balance for what was "just right". In comfort terms, think about sleeping with a comforter, but leaving one leg outside of it....the perfect balance of hot and cold.
