We are back and launching into the most well know Grendel story line, War Child.  We follow the Paladin aka Grendel Prime as he whisks Jupiter Assante away into the desert. His motives are, as yet, unknown but the action never stops. Laurel's minions are in pursuit but are not ready for the light saberin' that they receive. Orion's reign is at its highest point. The world is united. However Orion is now the target of assassination attempts and is beginning to feel lonelier and lonelier. Then the last of his original family, Fadi, has a deathbed wish for him, produce an heir. Just then Laurel Kennedy lands on the scene and takes Orion in a flash of love and companionship. Will he seed an heir? Then we flash over to the Vamps who are loosing cohesion. Zebra wants to make a move but Pellon is too complacent, lying on a bed of pillows smoking blood hookah. This week, the Devil's Reign begins. These issues are broken up into two stylistically different parts. They begin with the rise of Orion Assante aka Orion I. Quickly rising in the ranks and creating an army of COPS that begin a war with neighboring territories. After mergers and expansions and an end of the war, Orion is poised to take over much more. Then, the second part of the issue focuses on Pellon Cross, Zebra and the rest of the Vampires in Las Vegas. The Worm is ravenous, infiltrates Cesars Palace and all hell breaks loose, literally!
