Mark then has some dee-di-dee-di news which shows that making games isn’t always profitable, before we bring this baby home with a quick chat about an easy game to play, but a dastardly game to explain.

Another Thursday, another episode, as the Dice Men have a whale of a time (or do they?) with New Bedford. A game all about whaling and building an economy so you can collect more of those delicious whales…so what do we think of this theme?

And in a surprise twist, we have a second game this week, set in a crummy diner with poisoned prawns. It’s Scoffton which is live RIGHT NOW on Kickstarter, so check it out if you’re interested. Mark brings it home with his expert Kickstarter wrap up so if Aunt Betty did give you some birthday money you can spend it all on plastic, boards and dice. Thanks Aunt Betty!!

We kick off with an interview with great friend of the show and Essen aficionado Rene who talks all things Essen and brags about how many games he brought back (yes, we’re jealous Rene!). From there we recap on the Kanga Awards and tip our hats to all the nominees and the winners.
