Hola Digheads! After a week off, we’re back! Our guest is the wonderful and hilarious comedian, Jared Logan! Buy his album, My Brave Battle, right now! And to sweeten the pot even more, our old lover, Sean Joyce, is back in the cohost chair. Sean is a funny dude as well and runs shows 7 nights a week in DC. For info on those, go to UndergroundComedyDC.com!

While there were some technical difficulties (Josh forgot to record the first 10 minutes of the pod, like an idiot), the boys had a great talk in a basement before Jared’s show about starting out in Chicago, grown ups that are into Disney, is comedy art?, moving to New York, setting goals, and terrible TV gigs!

Hola Digheads! We thought we may be spoiling you lately with all these famous people episodes, so Josh and Mike decided to drop an old-fashioned solo ep (it's for your own good, listeners). The boys went back to basics and reflect on all that has happened since they started this thang three years, ago, and wouldn't you know it, they get all mushy about how grateful they are to be living their dreams! Josh also speaks about his recent stint hosting for the great Kevin Nielin, and Mike gets to talk about his favorite subject, the mid-90s, East coast, West coast, rap feud! Thanks for three amazing years Digheads! Please do the boys a solid and subscribe to and rate us on iTunes, or Stitcher! Say hi on Twitter and Facebook. @TheBrianHuskey – Brian Huskey

Hola DigHeads! This week, Josh and MIke are honored to have to the amazing actor/comedian/writer/improviser, Brian Huskey on the podcast! You may recognize Brian from a whole plethora of TV and movie spots, including This is the End, Superbad, Bob’s Burgers, and Arrested Development (the show not the band). Or perhaps you’ve spotted him performing at the UCB or in his current role as Leon West in HBO’s VEEP?!

Man, for such a busy fella, Brian was so not a dick and very generous with his time and advice! Brian was kind enough to sit down and discuss his experiences with the comedy world over the years; he’s written scripts, been the “Sonic” burgers guy, gets “kinda” recognized by strangers all the time, and is almost too perfect at playing doctors (he looks really good in a lab coat).

Thanks to Brian Huskey for being so utterly cool! And thank you DigHeads for being just as cool. Please do your favorite pair of earbuds a solid, and leave us a review on iTunes, Stitcher, and say hi on Facebook & Twitter. Check out the Thunder Grunt Podcast Network too! We love you!

He’s also be on HBO’s Bored To Death, FX’s Louie, IFC’s Z-Rock, E’s Chelsea Lately, and DirecTV’s The Artie Lange Show. And he wrote for the Pete Holmes show.

Josh and Stav are huge fans, so this was an honor to talk to Joe about taking his approach to playing in bands and applying it to comedy, new material Seinfeld, how podcasting is a pain in the ass, the table at the Comedy Cellar, and Joe’s love / hate, well mostly hate relationship with the internet!

@PianosBand – Pianos Become The Teeth

Hola DigHeads! On this week’s episode, Josh sits down outside of a Starbucks with his old friend, Zac Sewell! Zac is the bass player for Pianos Become The Teeth and United Nations. Pianos will release their third studio album called “Keep You” on October 28 on Epitaph Records. And United Nations just released a new record, The Next Four Years, as well.

Josh and Zac grew up together in a special little pocket of Maryland called Kent Island. So, the fellas have a nice catch up session combined with a full report of Zac’s life as a rock and roller, attempts not to gush when you meet your idols, and what happens when your drummer does PCP at a Belgian rock festival. Fun ep!

Hola DigHeads! On a very special, bonus, Digression Sessions, Josh and Mike have a phone-convo with punk-comedian JT Haberssaat. JT has apperaed on Comedy Central, has performed with Henry Rollins, Doug Standhope, and Brian Posehn, and even acted alongside Ron Jeremy in the (technically, non-pornagraphic) Toxic Avenger 4. He is currently headlining the Altercation Punk Comedy Tour, the Bmore stop of which will be featuring Josh and Mike as openers. The boys get in depth with JT about his DIY, “Black Flag-style,” of touring, and why he prefers to avoid the mainstream comedy circuit, and just do the whole damn thing himself. Thanks for the call-in JT, this was a very fun and interesting conversation! And thank you, DigHeads, especially all the new listeners we’ve recently rounded up! Please check-out all the other great east-coast podcasts in the Thunder Grunt family! We love youuuu!

@TheJoeMatarese – Joe Matarese

@StavComedy – Stavros Halkias

Hola DigHeads! On this week’s episode, Josh and guest cohost comedian Stavros Halkias sit down in the green room of Magooby’s Joke House to talk to comedian, Joe Matarese! Joe’s a veteran stand up, he recently appeared on America’s Got Talent, and he also has a very successful podcast called “Fixing Joe.”

From Matt Mcconaughey and Tom Cruise dying their hair, to black rooms, Joe’s early struggles doing stand up in NYC and Florida, comedians wearing bowling shirts, and in a truly universal moment of kismet / time is a flat circle – Josh realizes that Joe was one of the first comedians he ever saw on MTV’s Spring Break comedy show. It was a hell of a moment, brother!

"Catching a Beer With The Comedy Boys"

Hola DigHeads! We have here our first ever live Digression Sessions recording! It was done during an all-Thunder Grunt Podcast Network night in Baltimore, and features some of our favorite folks sitting in, including comedian Tommy Sinbazo, filmmaker Chris LaMartina, fellow podcaster / writer / managing editor of Brightest Young Things - Brandon Wetherbee, and comedian/director Ben O’Brian of Wham City Comedy.

This was a great time and we can’t wait to do it again! We talk all sorts of business, from Tommy’s construction of a Necromican, to Chris’ bachelor party at Hell House, to Brandon’s opinions on Bmore vs. DC, to Ben’s (once again) defense of eating raw chicken like’s it’s just ok.

Thanks to Rex Anderson and everyone that keep’s Thundergrunt rolling! Also, thanks to all the many new listeners Digression Sessions has recently picked up (we now chart on iTunes top comedy podcasts)! Expect big things from us in the future, we plan on keeping this wave rolling! Love you DigHeads!
