The Digression Sessions - @BetterRobotJosh & @MichaelMoran10

Wow. Well, somehow Patton Oswalt, yes, Patton Oswalt, was a guest on the Digression Sessions Podcast. Yes, it’s really him. No, it’s not some friend we have who has the same name, or some b.s. like that, it’s the real Patton Oswalt, of King of Queens, Werewolves and Lollipops, and the New Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., T.V. show. And no it’s not some, “we got him to say two words into the microphone, so technically he was a guest” crap, we actually sat down and did an interview with Patton Oswalt. And the man was cool. Beyond cool. Like, maybe-he-doesn’t-realize-how-famous-he-is, cool. Josh and Mike are, not only eternally grateful for Patton to take the time to do this, but inspired too; Patton Oswalt was incredibly kind, and accommodating, he even thanked us, for the interview and bought the boys spiced pumpkin lattes. Did I mention how cool Patton Oswalt is? Thanks so much Mr. Oswalt, your comedic brilliance is matched by your strong personal character!

Hola Digheads! Today's very special episode of Digression Sessions just may be the strangest yet. It takes place in a car for one, so listen as Josh and Mike joke about how they're totally going to be in an accident (hahaha) and then it almost happens. Yeah, it get's a little uncomfortable. But its not like they're running any podcasting while driving PSAs, are they? Secondly, the whole whacky vibe of the episode shifts dramatically half way through, as Josh and Mike cut the joking and que in a serious debate concerning the well-being of Africa. Those of you Digheads paying attention to the Facebook page will recall a slightly tense exchange on the page between Josh and Mike in regards to a discussion about Africa on a previous podcast, resulting in a a few commenters fearing trouble in paradise. But what's a podcast without a little drama, aye? Anyway, the boys talked it out with respect and without murdering each other. Seriously, this is one of the great one guys! Oh, and we had comedian Corey Cohen chimming in from the back seat from time to time! Thanks, Digheads! You're the best!

On this week’s Digression Sessions we have DigSesh favorite Jason Weems! Jason always has hilarious and interesting stories to tell about fatherhood, being a school teacher, and his journey through the world of stand-up comedy.

Jason may quite literally be the hardest working man in the local stand-up scene and its always great to have him stop by and chat. We even get a little bit of the dirt on the controversy Jason is currently embroiled in involving, the public school system , a Watch The Throne parody, and the cleaning of a toilet.

Hola DigHeads! On this week’s episode, Josh has one hell of an interesting and hilarious interview with a former offensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, John Moffitt! And Alex Braslavsky sits in as guest cohost!

Moffitt retired from the NFL in the 2012-2013 season while he was in his prime, at the age of 27. He didn’t want to “risk health for money” and walked away from about $1 million in salary, various benefits for retirees who play at least three seasons and a trip to the Super Bowl. But, he would not change a thing! Moffitt was a completely open book and discuss a wide range of topics from his thoughts on the NFL, the existence of alien robot conspiracies, his degree in Sociology, his own yet to be named podcast, phone beeps, trying improv and stand up, the draft of Michael Sam as a publicity stunt, and more! What an ep!

Hola DigHeads! On this week’s episode, Josh sits down for a great conversation with writer and comedian, Ben Rosen! Josh is also joined by guest cohost and lover, Mike Finazzo!

While he’s based out of NYC now, Ben began performing comedy in Maryland. He’s incredibly humble, hilarious, and insanely nice. On this ep, Ben tells us all about his journey through the New York comedy scene while working as a contributing writer at Gawker, Buzzfeed, and now as an editor at Viral Nova. Ben was also very open about his asexuality, which was extremely interesting. Good ep!
