The more things change the more they stay the same. Despite a 3-8 record and with their season on the brink the Seattle Seahawks did what they always do, beat the San Francisco 49ers. Inept QB play, penalties, turnovers, and a overall lack of execution ended the Niners 3 game winning streak. Jed York doesn't own the 49ers, Russell Wilson does.

From the outhouse to the penthouse the San Francisco 49ers find themselves in the playoff hunt a month after being on the brink of disaster. League MVP Deebo Samuel continues to impress. After a 2 month hiatus Kyle Shanahan has shown up for work with coherent gameplans. The defense has improved and Jimmy Garoppolo is doing just enough to help the team win. The 49ers have won 3 in a row and are trending in the right direction. 

After 393 days of futility the San Francisco 49ers finally won a home game! The Niners came out and established the run, committed to it, and stayed true to their identity en route to a 31-10 demolition of the LA Rams. Deebo Samuel and Jimmie Ward were the best players on the field, Jimmy Garoppolo was efficient, and Kyle Shanahan continued his ownership of Rams head coach Sean McVay.

Week 10 of the NFL was filled with blowouts and decisive victories. A number of games finished with double digit margins and were largely uncompetitive. Patriots are starting to assert themselves with a dominant win vs the Cleveland Browns. Packers pitch a shutout at home vs a returning Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Chiefs wake up vs the downtrodden Raiders and destroy them on Sunday night. Tampa loses to Washington in the upset of the week and many more on this weeks episode of the Dion Gordon Podcast!!

The season is officially in shambles for the San Francisco 49ers after a humiliating loss to their division rival the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. Even without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins the undermanned Cardinals still decimated the woefully inept 49ers in their home stadium. An embarrassing performance which should only intensify the heat on Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. 

With the season teetering on the brink the San Francisco 49ers answered the challenge and won a tough game on the road vs the Chicago Bears. Jimmy Garappolo played his best game of the season. Kyle Shanahan called his best game of the season. Deebo Samuel continues to be awesome and Elijah Mitchell provided a strong contribution in the run game to propel the Niners to a 33-22 victory on the road in Chicago. The challenge now is can they do it again and develop consistency.

With the season on the brink and coming out of bye week the San Francisco 49ers still couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. A litany of mistakes, poor execution, and bad coaching proved insurmountable for San Francisco in a emasculating 30-18 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in primetime. A season that began with Super Bowl aspirations has now become a lost season with no direction and a team with no identity. 

Dave Chappelle had a comedy special titled "The Closer" and its sparked quite a bit of controversy. The LGBT community is none to pleased with the legendary comedians jokes. At the very least Dave has sparked thought provoking conversation with his audacity to have his own independent thoughts. Unfortunately many of the public isn't adult enough to understand that not everyone will always agree with them. 

What a week in the NFL! Exciting games, excellent QB play all around the league, the separation between the contenders and pretenders, and head coaches behaving badly. John Gruden gets exposed as a douchebag amid several controversial emails dating back to 2011. His shocking resignation almost overshadowed a compelling week of NFL action.

Kyle Shanahan is too smart for his own good. He's so good he intentionally put his rookie QB making his first start in harms way on a repeated basis. Went for it on 4 4th downs and was unsuccessful on all of them. Left points on the field twice and put together a gameplan his team wasn't prepared to execute. The smartest guy in the room is now 31-38 and his team is on a 3 game losing streak.
