The Dirt Path Sermon Podcast

In our spiritual journey as ambassadors for Jesus, details are important. Especially when we are interacting with others. But we must make certain we are focused on the details with the most Kingdom value, otherwise we "major in the minors."

This is what happens with the disciples as they return to find Jesus talking with a Samaritan woman. They struggle with the moment because their focus is on the wrong details.

There is only one God, and He is not me or you. Rather than try to push our agenda onto Him, God wants us to be still and remember He is God. Pastor Nicole shares from Psalm 46.

How do you know when God is speaking to you? Samuel heard God’s voice but didn’t recognize who was calling him. He had to learn how to listen, and sometimes we do too.

In this sermon from 1 Samuel 3:1–11, Pastor Jason explores the story of Samuel and Eli and what it teaches us about hearing God, recognizing God’s voice, and learning to listen when God speaks.

Whether you’re growing deeper in your faith, struggling to discern God’s direction, or you're a new Christian wondering what people mean when they say, “God spoke to me,” Samuel’s story reminds us that hearing God is something we learn as we walk with Him.

God is speaking. The question is: are we learning to listen?
