We’ve talked about the different ways that sheriffs in Wisconsin handle immigration checks—but whether their approaches are low-key or hardball, we should all have faith that they follow the law and the Constitution. But the President of the United States prefers a policy that’s already led to a growing list of people who’ve become The Disappeared, reflecting an approach used by dictatorships that don’t provide due process for those who might be innocent yet deported anyway.
