Ishmael talks about how he grew up and how Jesus drew Ish to Himself through some faithful Christians who "kept coming" and kept pouring themselves into his life. Now, he is doing the same, pouring himself into those around him. Deon, 13yo, shares his story of making a profession of faith in Jesus Christ.

I had a chance to talk with Ishmael Harley. We reflect on how God has divine appointed times and is working intricately in our lives to bring about His will and His glory.

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26-29‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I have a conversation with my husband Joel Travelstead discussing the start of my Divine Appointments podcast. We discuss the use of God's "moed" or "appointed times" through the scripture which are evidence of His interaction with us. He uses divine appointments in our lives. It is up to us to recognize them. We are challenged to partner with God where is He is working in the world.

"remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,'" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭46‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭

I sat down to speak with Dr. Jim Futral, and what an inspiration this man is. Dr. Futral has been a pastor for more than 30 years and was head of the MS Southern Baptist Convention for 22 years. There are those who preach and those who lead and there are those who do both. When you are in his presence, you leave a better person.

"Where fore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
