This is an interview with Quana Spells. She is a great example of Jesus' teaching of loving the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. Through the depths of a Covid illness and even in everyday life she takes care to love others around her. May we all love others this way.
Dr. Tate Thigpen spent over forty years practicing hematology and oncology. He has had a huge impact on thousands of patients in Mississippi and across the country. With great care and study he treated patients with cancer and developed the whole field of oncology. He describes how his faith in Jesus impacted his practice of medicine. He saw miracles "almost daily." He is a man who lives out his faith.
Jesus used the imagery of the Galilean Jewish wedding to explain our salvation and His second coming. Many hard to understand scriptures become crystal clear when studied in light of the first century culture. "The Bible was written for us but not to us." Culture and context matters.
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."" John 14:1-4 ESV
This is an interview of Dr. Russell Roberts who describes how God has shown him how to integrate faith and the practice of medicine. He has learned how to be bold in his witness for the Lord Jesus.
Understand that we do not have to be fearful on Friday the 13th. I credit Chuck Misler and Immanuel Vilekovsky for this teaching about Friday the 13th and the Passover.
Dianna lived in Turkey as a Christian, saw many come to Christ, some through dreams of Jesus Himself appearing to them, some by seeing her friends' examples of Christ. She saw those whose lives are threatened for their faith. She says America's mission field is because we are so easily distracted. She notes Jesus is her lifeline even with her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.
This is an interview of Buz Lowry. He inspired me to make the world around me a better place physically and spiritually……to "leave it better than I found it."
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:13-16 ESV
This is an interview with Shellye Druey discussing attacks in her marriage and how God reminded her that in a marriage the two become one and this was her battle as well as her husband's.
"He answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." Matthew 19:4-6 ESV
This is a precious interview of my sister, Cozy, about walking through cancer and death of her husband Clay and how God radically changed their life.
"Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7 KJV
God's holidays may be different from ours. He gave very specific details meant to be rehearsals for future appointed times. What holiday did Jesus celebrate on the night he was arrested….the holiday he was about to fulfill?
"Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'" Isaiah 46:9-10 NIV
