This week, Hamilton takes Fiona on a one-on-one adventure, 'Tomb of Grief' by No Short Rests from their One Room, One Shots collections!

One Room One Shots are a collection of short adventures themed around a single room or structure and fully compatible with 5th edition. There are no complex castles or labyrinthine dungeons to get lost in, just a single location that means the adventure can be played in one session with little to no preparation required - perfect for when you want to give friends a taster of the game, or for when your group keep meaning to play and finally find an elusive evening off together, but no-one has had time to plan more!

Find out more here!

Tomb of Grief Bio:

'The land has become cursed and all signs point to the tomb of an evil king as the source of this dark taint. Find a way to break the curse, and learn the truth behind the King’s violent acts inside his desecrated tomb!

The adventure contains simple puzzles that involve observation and role playing with combat encounters. Tomb of Grief is a classic dungeon, filled with cursed undead and a tragic backstory for the spirits who haunt the tomb.'

This week, Fiona and guest cohost Nandi discuss 'Stillfleet' is a tabletop roleplaying game about exploring ruined spacecraft and habitable earth-like planets, cut off from contact with Terra for decades or centuries…

Set in a paradoxically bleak and vibrant superfuture, 'Stillfleet' empowers players with simple, intuitive mechanics and hundreds of options for powers.

Built on a foundation of political tension between the Co. and its medieval market-worlds, Stillfleet is its own timespace paradox: it’s a rules-light system with hundreds of options for powers. And it’s a genre-vaporizing work of science fiction that you can hack apart and make your own.

The hosts of The DM's Book Club proudly bring you a new limited series, The DM's Travel Bookclub: A Guide to Faerûn!

Inspired by the recent releases of 'Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn' & 'Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn', Fiona and Hamilton take a whistle stop tour around the forgotten realms and see the sights, meet the people and discover hidden treasures!

Our hosts finish their journey in Baldur's Gate: 'A bustling metropolis where money comes first and life is cheap. Cosmopolitan and crowded, the city draws innumerable visitors from across the Sword Coast. Baldur’s Gate was founded many years ago by the hero Balduran, but it quickly outgrew its founder’s vision as merchants, pirates, and laborers expanded the town into a city'.

Our hosts continue their journey and visit Moonshae Isle: 'Realms of ancient magic, fierce storms, and bold heroes, where druids safeguard the land and fey lurk in every forest glen. The Moonshaes include seven major islands and over a hundred smaller ones, and a variety of cultures call these isles home. The story of the Moonshaes tells of peoples coming together to protect their homes, their family, and the sacred earth. Tragically, this unity came about only when the inhabitants were confronted with overwhelming danger, and that accord was purchased at great cost'.

Our hosts continue their journey and stop off at Calimshan: 'A nation that covered the southern corner of west Faerûn, including the Calim Desert and the Spider Swamp. This is a rich realm that hides many secrets and fosters competing powers. Ancient lore lies buried here. Genie clans scheme and sabotage each other. Merchants, assassins, monsters, ancient relics, and cabals are as integral to Calimshan today as they are entwined in its history. Here, adventurers protect caravans traveling across the desert, quest for ancient mysteries, seek fame and fortune, collaborate with genies, and master potent magic.

Our hosts continue their journey and end up in Icewind Dale: 'An arctic tundra located in the Frozen far region of the North. Its settlements—called Ten-Towns—beckon the reckless, the desperate, and those willing to face what waits at the world’s farthest edge. People come here to make their fortunes or to disappear. You never know who you might encounter, wrapped in winter gear, trudging through snowy streets: a friend, a monster, or a stranger willing to kill to protect their secrets.'

Our hosts start off in the Dalelands: 'Broad forest vales with rolling farmlands, linked by narrow trade roads running through beautiful woods. Blessed with fertile soil and a temperate climate (but harsh winters), the Dalelands are the breadbasket of the Heartlands. The independent spirit of Dalefolk balanced with their centuries of cooperation with the elves of Cormanthor have made the Dalelands the home of many of Faerûn’s greatest heroes'.
