On this week's show, co-hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran recap the week that was and preview the week ahead, largely centered around Esports.  The duo then welcomed in Director of Athletics Charles Gomes and Associate Director of Athletics Erin Van Nostrand, to discuss the current state of athletics at CSI and the future as part of Provisional Year Two of NCAA Division II.  The group discussed the busier-than-normal summer, devising plans in the wake of COVID-19, the current situation within the program, and the extra emphasis put on the program by the NCAA in the wake of being provisional.  The group saved time to discuss the current NCAA landscape, including how major Division I conferences are handling fall football and other sports heavily-tied to funding and what it means for the future of the NCAA.  It's an episode you won't want to miss.

In the first show of the 2020-21 school year, co-hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran concentrate and go in-depth into Esports, the newest varsity offering at the College of Staten Island.  After talking general sports and the significance of 9/11, the duo then welcome in Esports Coordinator Alberto Sanchez and Intramurals Coordinator Sal Caruso, who break down the games Overwatch and Valorant, two games sponsored by the East Coast Conference and where the Dolphins will be immediately eligible for competitive play.  They talk creation of the team, strategy, and even save time to debate the sometimes controversial topic of whether or not Esports should sit beside conventional sports offerings on college campuses.

In The Dolphin Pod season finale, hosts David Pizzuto & Nicholas Doran focus on the No. 1 moments on the Summer Countdowns.  First, the duo reviewed The No. 1 most watched broadcast on CSI SportsNet, CSI Men's Soccer home opener against Concordia College, an overtime thriller that also marked CSI's debut against a Division II school.  Following a break, the duo chatted for nearly an hour with Head Men's Basketball Coach T.J, Tibbs, with the highlight being the team's home-opening win against NCAA Division II New York Tech, voted by staffers as the No. 1 moment on the Flashback Friday countdown.  Tibbs also spoke about his career at CSI, the move to Division II, the past 2019-20 season and the impressions going into a COVID-covered 2020-21 season.  T.J.'s dog Brooklyn also announces his appearance as well!  The Dolphin Pod will return in two weeks with a show lineup to kick off the 2020-21 athletics year, premiering September 11, 2020.

On a special Q&A episode of The Dolphin Pod, CSI Director of Athletics Charles Gomes sits with host David Pizzuto on the campus' first day of classes to discuss the ongoing circumstances surrounding CSI Athletics and the COVID-19 suspension of activity and closure of facilities.  Gomes answers specific questions asked of him by listeners centered around campus facilities, athletics operations, NCAA compliance and more.  This is the first of a series of specials we will have throughout the fall semester.  To submit questions for future episodes, click HERE.

On this week's show, co-hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran continue to navigate through the Summer Top 10 countdowns which this week was dominated by Men's Soccer.  First, the duo discuss Men's Soccer's tilt against Brooklyn College, the second most-viewed broadcast on CSI SportsNet, earning the No.2 position on the countdown, a game that saw CSI defeat the Bulldogs, 2-0.  After a break, the pair welcomed in Philip Lefkowitz, exiting senior on the Men's Soccer team, to discuss CSI's 2-1 win over Felician College in the season-finale, CSI's first ever win over another Division II school as a Division II school.  Lefkowitz scored the game-winner with just 33 seconds left in the game.  He spoke about his career, which included a CSI Male Athlete of the Year honor following his junior season, and what life hopefully has in store for him beyond his playing career at CSI.

On this week's show, the Top 10 summer countdowns continued to be the focus.  First up, co-hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran spoke about the big debut of Esports, CSI's newest varsity sport, then turned their attention to the No. 3 moment on the CSI SportsNet most viewed countdown, Men's Basketball's home opening win and first against a Division II school, against NYIT on November 20.  After a break, women's hoops became the focus, as the duo chatted with junior Kayla Schmitter, who was on hand to discuss the No. 3 moment on the Flashback Friday countdown, the Dolphins season-ending win over Baruch that finalized the team's season on a 12-game win streak and a best-ever 15-1 regular season CUNYAC record, finalized by the team cutting down the nets at The Tank.

On this week's show, co-hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran focus on the No. 4 moments on the summer Top 10 countdowns.  First up, Doran discussed the No. 4 moment on the SportsNet most watched list which was Men's Basketball's Tournament of Heroes double-OT win over Curry College.  Following a break, the duo chatted with Men's Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field star Jared Nusser, who became CSI's first-ever NCAA Division II ECC Champion, when he took gold at the ECC Championships in the 400-meter Dash, the No. 4 moment on the Flashback Friday countdown.  Nusser talked about the moment, his career leading up to CSI, his approach to training and his craft, the recent COVID closure and the frustration surrounding being away from his team, and his goals for the future.

On this week's episode, hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran recap the previous week's top stories at CSI, and then focus their attention to the Top 10 summer countdowns, which focused on the No. 5 overall moments.  Doran discussed CSI's tough loss to eventual CUNYAC-champion Brooklyn College on their home court, the No. 5 most viewed broadcast on CSI SportsNet in 2019-20.  The feature of the show was then a conversation with CSI junior baseballer Louie Mandile, a first-year transfer who spread out a trio of hits and runs scored in a 21-9 win over NCAA Division II Benedict College, the No. 5 moment on the Flashback Friday countdown.  Mandile talked about his career, the great start to the season in Myrtle Beach, and what comes next for him and the team after COVID.

On this week's show, the Summer Top 10 Countdowns were the focus, but first, hosts David Pizzuto and Nicholas Doran were able to discuss the biggest news of the summer with Director of Athletics Charles Gomes, who gave his views on how the ECC's suspension of the fall semester sports season affects what is happening at CSI.  Gomes gave insight into some of the conversations being had on campus, and the introduction of a question & answer segment that will be ongoing this summer on The Dolphin Pod concerning COVID-19.  After a break, Pizzuto and Doran spoke to Men's Basketball graduated senior James Delahanty, who as the only four-year senior on the team this past season, reflected on his memories of life in a Dolphins uniform, the big win over Curry which landed at No. 6 on the Flashback Friday countdown, and the strange end to his academic career amidst the pandemic.

On this week's show, the Summer Top 10 Countdowns were the focus, as they have been for the past few weeks.  Before that, however, host David Pizzuto began with a recap of the week's news and welcomed in guest Nicholas Doran, who was elevated to Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach and the duo unveiled a special announcement alongside talking about the No. 7 moment on the SportsNet countdown, the Dolphins' clash with Hunter College in February.  Following a break, Pizzuto chatted with soccer senior Nermina Bracic, specifically to talk about CSI's season-opening win over Penn College, the No. 7 moment on this week's Flashback Friday countdown.  Bracic also talked about her career, having to play for three different coaches and what she hopes the future has in store for the program.
