That's after they decided to disregard a Supreme Court ruling to take down barbed wire on the border, and instead said that they have a RIGHT to protect themselves. Protect themselves from who? Migrant families trying to swim the Rio Grande into America?

Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, has been smoking something a little different than usual, saying that he has nothing but "love and respect" for Donald Trump. After spending years trashing the former President, what gives? Trump would never drink gin and juice, he's more of a Diet Coke guy...

It might be a Monday, but Crute and Dom have a grievance already: why are Democrats working to Dean Phillips off the primary ballot in Wisconsin? We all know what the results are going to be, but why can't people have a choice other than the incumbent President? And where is that directive coming from? Either way, Phillips is going to the Wisconsin Supreme Court to ask them to put him on the ballot.

And remember when Hillary came to Wisconsin, poured a terrible beer, then ignored the state for the rest of the year? Dom and Crute remember, and so does Rolling Stone Magazine, who listed Hilary failing to campaign in Wisconsin as their number 5 biggest political blunder in the past 50 years.

What are some of the other top political blunders on the past 50 years? Will it be whoever decides to run against Tammy Baldwin this fall? Okay maybe not of all politics, but it will be a pathetic decision regardless.

The best of the Devil's Advocates Radio Show - Week on January 27

It's a grievance filled Friday, as we take your calls to air all sorts of sorts of issues over the air. Some are mad that we have to talk about the border when we could be talking about the great state of the economy. Some have concerns about the state of executions in America after what happened last night in Alabama. Still some just want to bitch about Wisconsin Republicans. Hell, we do that every day!

But the main conversation topic of the day is the judgement against Trump today in the E. Jean Carroll trial. The callers are against Trump today, saying it's too low. Crute has a complaint though, as he fishes for colorful analogies.

Then - AI porn. Taylor Swift is quickly working to crack down on images created with AI that show her in.. compromising positions. But is it really her, and if it isn't is it immoral? Crute and Dom are on slightly opposite sides, but both agree that they don't want to see any AI porn of either of them. Neither doesn't anyone else on the planet.

Breaking news as we get on the air, as Trump is ordered to pay $83 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll. Is it as much as Crute thought he would have to pay? No. Is it enough to finally get him to shut up and stop spreading lies about her? Also no. But it'll still hurt.

While Trump is having a bad day, so is his attorney Habba. The judge threatened to send HER to jail today for refusing to shut up during the trial. Like client like attorney I guess?

And taking your calls, and everyone has to ask: would another Republican other than Trump beat Biden? Would they have any different policy decisions than Trump? Crute thinks that it's strictly an issue with Trump. The callers don't quite agree.

Morning Cannoli's (or however it's grammatically correct) host Jim Santelle joins the Devil's in the happier happy hour to talk all things Trump trial.

Trump testified in the E Jean Carroll case today. Why? He lasted all of three minutes before the judge cut him off and told him to buzz off, so why was he there? Can't be a campaign speech, because there was no audio or video recording of his testimony!

While he claims he's never even met E Jean Carroll, prior testimony seems to disagree. In fact, the jury got to hear audio from last year where he confused her with his own ex-wife. Whoops!

Is it fair to call Trump psychotic? Or to attribute his failings on some mental condition. Crute says no, because that's not fair to people who do suffer from a mental condition, and gives Trump an out. Dom, though, points out that White House staff asked for a psychological evaluation all the way back in 2017.

Joe Biden is back in Wisconsin today, hanging out with Governor Tony Evers and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to talk bridges. The Blatnik Bridge, to be precise, connecting Superior to Duluth. It's not an infrastructure week, it's an infrastructure year.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Republicans passed a doom bill to ban abortions after 14 weeks today. It's going to get a veto from Evers, he's said as much. Why the exercise in futility? Stupid politics, of course. It's really the only thing they're good for.

Peter Navarro is going to jail for defying a congressional subpoena on the investigation into January 6th. I wonder if Steve Bannon is looking for a roommate... Anyways, he's complaining that he shouldn't have to go to jail, because he never should have needed to testify to begin with! The protesters outside the courthouse certainly think that he should.

Finally, Dom has reason to celebrate today: Crute has finally stopped to his level and is lowering the state of the political discourse!

Why is it that Donald Trump is okay with quick election results when he wins? That's what happened when he won New Hampshire last night. Didn't feel like staging an insurrection then? Don't feel like harassing election workers when you win?

Paul Fanlund with the CapTimes has a new piece out, saying that he's tired of being told to Trumpsters all the time. The media, he says, doesn't want to accept the truth that Trumpsters actually like it when he uses violent and fascistic rhetoric. If our callers are anything to go by, he may be onto something...

Derrick Van Orden is looking like he's in trouble in his race coming up in November. Democrats look like they may actually be caring about his seat this time around! And while they're putting on a hell of a campaign, he's giving away Molson Coors beers at 10AM and giving speeches about milk.

AND Maggie Daun is hosting her show from Madison today, so of course we had to have her on the show! She talks about Nikki Haley's campaign, and when she's going to be dropping out. Plus, is Biden guaranteed a win if he's up against Trump in November? Crute says yes, but Maggie says not so fast...

Crute and Dom have a confession to make... they didn't watch Governor Evers' State of the State address last night. Crute didn't even watch the Badger game yesterday! Didn't he spend all of yesterday bitching about Evers counterprogramming the Badger game?

One day after the Bucks fire their head coach, the Packers drop a bombshell today and Fire Joe Barry! Two days, two firings. But Crute has to say, when talking with Civic Media Sports Reporter Mike Clemens yesterday, Crute called who the new coach would be! Clemens comes back onto the Devil's today to talk about the firing of Joe Barry.

And oh yeah, the New Hampshire primaries were yesterday! Trump won, of course, but did Haley come within spitting distance? Kind of. Trump was up by 11 points over Haley, which is enough to keep Trump safe, but not enough for her to immediately drop out. Hey, at least Biden's write-in campaign got more votes yesterday than Trump did in Iowa!

With voters in New Hampshire hitting the polls for today's GOP primary, Dom has a question - how much would Haley have to lose by in order to drop out? Single digits? 20 points? 40 points? Will anyone in the race actually decline to endorse Trump at the RNC in Milwaukee?

Plus, is it a mistake for Joe Biden to skip appearing on the ballot in New Hampshire today? Dom says no, Biden is going to be the nominee, so why bother campaigning there until the general election. Crute though, says that the media's story tomorrow is going to say "Biden only gets 50,000 write in votes, Republicans get 300,000." Is it fair? No, but that won't stop the media from saying it anyways. And with Biden's approval rating where it is, that could be enough to hurt him later down the line.

And sticking with Biden and his approval ratings, is it a mistake that no real Democrat is working to primary him? Sure, they probably wouldn't win, but could it make him a better candidate in the general? If you don't like Joe Biden, and his approval numbers say that a lot of people don't, is a stronger dislike of Trump enough to get you out to vote for him in November?
