  • Losing the MyPillow vote

Scott Walker is in the news again, unfortunately, so of course the Devil's have to talk about it. This time, it's for the legislative maps. He's been on the news for those maps before! But this time, it's about how his gerrymandered maps in Wisconsin might finally get thrown out.

Reince Priebus is also in the news the week, unfortunately, calling the conservative's Taylor Swift controversy stupid. Which is something that we could have told you a week ago, but hey, let Reince have his time in the news, he doesn't get a lot that these days.

Robin Vos has lost a key demo in his voting block - those who like comfortable pillows at affordable costs. Mike Lindell, the MyPillow guy, was in Wisconsin over the weekend to trash talk Vos and encourage people to impeach him. Republicans are doing fine, why do you ask?

Finally, Crute spent some time on the street today (not walking the street, however), asking people their thoughts on Trump, Taylor Swift, and what ANTIFA actually means.

  • Show me the billable hours

Trump has been getting wins, with both his D.C. Jan 6 case being postponed and Fani Willis under scrutiny for employing a lover. Will either of those actually help Trump? Crute thinks it will, Dom thinks it won't, they go blow-to-blow right at the top of the show. The callers and the texters overwhelmingly agree with Dom, much to Crute's dismay.

The Fani Willis scandal doesn't change the facts of the case, but it does change the level of respect the Georgia DA's office has from the general public, Crute says. This case is the only hope to actually putting him in jail before the election, he says, and anything that can be done to delay that conviction will only hurt this country.

Finally, Crute has found a way to agree to the bad Bradley on the state Supreme Court, as the court comes to a unanimous decision to allow Dean Phillips on the Wisconsin presidential primary ballot.

  • Joe Vegas

Will the Pentagon tell us when they will strike inside Iran? Will the CIA tell us the truth about whether or not Taylor Swift is a psyop? No, they won't, but they have told us that Joe Biden is going to Vegas this weekend. Of course, he'll be leaving right before Crute get's there next Tuesday to cover the presidential primary election in Nevada.

Alan Robinson with Herbal Aspects in Madison joins the Devil's to change his mind about Joe Biden's move to pardon people federally charged with medical marijuana. Were people locked up, and then able to get out? No. But, it does open people up to getting scholarships, and other things blocked by having a felony on their record.

Jonathan Sutter, founder of Traveling Wiki, which provides travel resources for people with autism. He talks about why he decided to start a free resource for helping people fly, and the importance having access to air travel in everyone's lives.

Finally, Crute decides that he needs to punish Dom, Producer Nate, and well, everyone else, and wants to listen to Ben Shapiro's new rap song. Yes, it is that bad. But it's a number one hit!

  • Slow claps for the RNC

The national Republican party is in dire straits, as they have their worst fundraising year in decades. Remember, not only due to have to try and reelect Trump, but EVERY Republican in the country. Sorry Tiffany and Van Orden, go look for quarters outside the grocery store. I know! Maybe if they trash Taylor Swift some more, they'll get more people on their side.

There's a grab-bag of stupid political news today. Ben Shapiro has a number one song, and the Devil's would not recommend checking it out. And RFK Jr gets in trouble after posting some spicy comments on an Only Fan's TikTok account. A Kennedy not being faithful to their wife? That's unpossible!

Then, Jennifer Rubin at the Washington Post says that repeated blunders by the House GOP are taking it's toll. Who woulda thought that months of performative politics might have a downside! More and more people are starting to see through their façade, which could spell trouble when they're up for election this fall...

But the worst part of today? Crute trying to beatbox. At least Rico can rap, better than Ben Shapiro at least.

  • 7 Years with the Devil

The WEC is asking the Wisconsin Supreme Court not to let Dean Phillips onto the presidential ballot, saying he sat on his hands for too long. Plus, Dom and Crute celebrate the 7 year anniversary of launching their very own radio station.

  • A mission from God

House Republicans continue to push to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas over... something? The border? They continue to try and blame him for what's happening there, but it feels like it's more a way to attack Biden. I mean, they have a bipartisan bill that looks to fix the border, and they haven't even read it.

Republicans are on a mission from God, as they form a convoy to protect the southern border. The bad news? It immediately went wrong, because of course it did. Not enough people showed up, tires were slashed, people were even kicked out. Wanted to form a Godly convoy, guess they ended up with the Devil's convoy instead...

Scott Walker is deciding to weigh in on the whole Taylor Swift conversation, because who doesn't want to hear from him about pop culture! Of course he's scared of her, she wants to get people out to vote, something that will only hurt Republicans. Maybe he wishes she was a bit more like Ted Nugent.

  • Sifter or Sniffer?

Republicans are trying to hamstring Governor Tony Evers and limit his ability to veto bills. I guess they don't like his work to fund schools for hundreds of years like he did last year... Either way, Republicans want Evers to slice into the woods forever and quit the game.

Crute is in a tequila mood as he gets ready for his trip to Las Vegas next week to cover the Nevada presidential primary. Dom, on the other hand, is also in a tequila mood. He doesn't need to go to the Circus Circus to get in that kind of mood, so instead they look back at the time when they went to Nevada in 2016 to ask John Podesta about medical marijuana.

Paul Fanlund over at the Cap Times has some beef with the Wall Street Journal, after they called Evers a "radical" on the issue of abortion. Earnest, sure, but a radical? I'd say he's a little too grandfatherly to really be a radical, especially because his views on abortion are not radical, but in line with the people of Wisconsin! It's Republicans here in Wisconsin who are comparing pregnant women to animals.

Finally, Wisconsin's best (Derrick Van Orden) is under fire after accusing Elizabeth Warren of having something like $75 million. The problem? She doesn't have that much, and her height is not "U.S. Senator." Maybe he was sharing some of Dom's tequila when he tweeted that.

  • Plan B

Republicans need a plan B, says Jennifer Rubin at the Washington Post. You know, just in case Trumps legal cases continue to go the way they are going. Over half of Republicans say they wouldn't vote for someone charged with a felony. Now, if only someone could tell Republican voters that Trump already has been charged with a felony. Quite of a few of them, I hear!

Would you trust Elon Musk to put a microchip in your brain? Dom has no problem with it, hey they've been putting microchips in the vaccines for years, haven't they? (They haven't, but that's what ultra-conservatives have to say).

Plus, Crute has something to celebrate today - Biden's numbers are going up! Okay, they are only slightly up, but the trends are heading in the right direction! Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson have only 4% of support from Democrats, so maybe this is a little happy news for the Biden camp?

John Nichols at the Cap Times thinks so, saying that his visit to Wisconsin last week was one of the smartest moves he's made in the campaign so far. Northwest Wisconsin was once tightly held by Democrats for decades. That changed in 2016, but Biden's announcement that he's helping to replace the Blatnik Bridge in Superior last week, he's working to earn those voters back.

  • Salty Tony

Dom's in the Madison studio, and he and Crute have a gripe with Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. Why is he calling Dean Phillips' attempt to get on the ballot "ridiculous?" I suppose he get's a pass today, he did veto the gerrymandered maps passed by the Republican legislature.

With the presidential primary in Nevada next week, Republicans are meeting ahead of the election to air their grievances. That's supposed to be on Fridays! But frustrated Republicans, including some from right here in Wisconsin, are upset about how the party is struggling to raise money. Maybe they should try and stop being losers?

Democrats, meanwhile, are crushing the GOP fundraising. That's not us saying that, it's Bruce Murphey over at Urban Milwaukee! Republicans even changed the laws back in 2015, and by those own laws Democrats are burying Republicans in raising funds. As we on the Devil's Advocates call it, that's the Ben Wikler effect.

But does that make Democrats just as bad as Republicans? Is it really just corruption all the way down? Callers weigh in on the issue.
