The year is 2005 and WWE visited Japan to tape an episode of Smackdown, and when in Japan, you MUST make a barely legal reference to the most famous giant lizard of all time, Godzilla, at least WWE must do it. JBL saw to ambush and assault his challenger for the WWE Championship, The Big Show, but his plan goes wrong and he ends up in the ring with a giant lizard.  

The year is 1994 and Wrestling is holding on for dear life in America. From arenas to high school gyms and civic centers, from record breaking PPV buyrates to wondering if you spending too much. Wrestling was in a rough spot, and that included WWF. Hoping that the drawing power of the reigning champion Yokozuna would be enough to draw people in to see who would vanquish the monster was Vince McMahon's real hope. On January 24th 1994, that hope was The Undertaker who put the fear of the devil himself into Yokozuna before their casket match.

The year is 2020 and the pandemic had just begun and no one was doing anything. Shows paused production, sports paused seasons, governments paused not caring about its citizens, but not wrestling. Nope, wrestling kept chugging along putting on weekly shows of new content amid a world of uncertainty. And thats when WWE got wacky and tried something new; cinematic matches. But none more confusing and less wrestling than John Cena vs Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House Match.

The year is 2005 and the John Cena era is in full effect. He's put on the flag ship show, he's being given all the attention and even been drawn the ire of on screen boss, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff, so much so that his job performance has become an issue for ol Vinny Mac, who decides what needs to be done isnt just a job performance but a TRIAL! Thats right, Eric Bischoff's performance as Raw GM stands trial!

The year is 1996 and wrestling is about to change forever thanks to the creativity of WCW. Reimagining how wrestling is presented, how wrestlers themselves are presented, and how wrestling fans follow the story all at once. That describes the nWo and the story of their takeover of WCW, not our topic for this week as a Mortal Kombat inspired character by the name of Glacier would be the polar opposite of the way WCW would find success in 1996.

Debuting in January of 2006 to help Jonathan Coachman secure a spot in the Royal Rumble, The Spirit Squad would spend 11 months being some of the most annoying and irritating characters as well as the longest reigning World Tag Team Champions in 10 years. 

Close Personal Friends, X (@SeeBeauxgues) and Kneezus (@MrJordanBrewster) join to see the debut as well as witness the Spirit Squad's final big match at Survivor Series 2006 against the WWE Legends, talk about what would have happened if JR was able to see the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, and Shawn Michaels dirty macking.

The year is 1999 and the age of hardcore wrestling is in full effect. Both WWE and WCW have embraced hardcore wrestling as a way to appeal to that portion of the audience, WCW Decided to crown their champion of hardcore with a Junkyard Invitational, featuring basically anyone not that important, and thats a good thing for WCW.
