On November 10th, 1985, the bodies of an adult woman and a young girl were found in a 55 gallon drum in Bear Brook State Park, New Hampshire. Almost 15 years later on May 9th, 2000, an identical drum was found containing the bodies of two young girls. To this day the identities of the victims are shrouded in mystery, as is the person that killed them.

This week we'll be discussing the ye olde urban legend of bride and seek. Where did this legend come from? Is it more than a legend? Did Matt go back in time and push the brides to their doom? During the 1930s Cleveland was plagued with a serial killer dubbed the "Cleveland Torso Murderer" and "The Butcher Of Kingsbury Run". The killer is thought to have killed at least 12 people but there is speculation that they've killed as many at 20. Despite an extensive investigation the has been no confirmed killer, so who was this butcher?

In 1992 the town of Springfield, Missouri was home to a triple disappearance that has baffled many. Suzie Streeter, Stacy McCall and Sherrill Levitt all disappeared without a trace in the early hours of June 7th and although there have been a number of theories and numerous suspects in their kidnappings the case is still open. So what happened to the trio that night? Kidnapping? Murder? Did they run away from life? Did they run away from Matt?

I know which one is most likely.

Sophie Blanchard lived in the 1700s and married aviation pioneer Jean-Pierre Blanchard. Taking inspiration from her husband she went on to become the first professional female balloonist and went on to have great success. Shockingly she is no longer alive.

Julie D'Aubigny, also known as Mademoiselle Maupin and La Maupin, was a French opera singer and swords woman that lived in the 1600s. She was also known for her short but eventful life which made our jaws drop on occasion.

This week we discuss the entertainer, activist and American-French spy Josephine Baker who aided the French Resistance during World War 2. A little. We also talk about other things like Trump, terrorism and travel. A Lot.

Bass Reeves is known as one of the first black US Marshalls and credited with capturing over 3000 outlaws, one of those being his own son Bennie. His reputation and affiliation with the Native American community of Arkansas has led people to believe that Bass was the inspiration for the Lone Ranger, but was he?

Who knows.

Also, the past tense of "hang" is normally "hung". Unless we're talking about the hanging of someone, then we can use the word "hanged". I don't get it.
