It was a busy weekend of professional wrestling with shows all over the country along with NXT: Takeover featuring WarGames and Survivor Series.  After the news that WrestleCircus had cancelled their weekend show I ponder the question will the Indy Wrestling Bubble burst?  I also talk about the 1 Survivor Series match I watched, AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar, and why I enjoyed it.

In a follow up to episode 200, this is part 2 of Heath’s wrestling “career” and we also discuss why binge watching sucks.  Heath confesses that he had a secret secondary wrestling life that few knew about.  Mark shares his thoughts on Stranger Things 2 and whether or not the whole nostalgia thing has run it’s course.  He talks about some other shows he’s watching and his plan to binge watch The Punisher when it releases.  Mark recommended the show “Mindhunter” to Heath who has watched the show since the recording of this episode and Mark was spot on with his analysis.

On this episode of the Double Dropkick Show, Heath Mullikin and Mark Whitman cover a wide range of topics centered around the theme of “how movie directors would book wrestling.”  How would Tarentino book wrestling?  George Lucas? Somehow we get into global warming and wrestlers relying on spots that will eventually get them injured and prematurely end their careers.  Mark also shares how his love of movies influenced his wrestling promo’s and his tastes in wrestling.  Here’s the promo Mark references in the episode.

Heath Mullikin needed to vent about the end of Marvel’s Secret Empire. In a way that only he could do, Mark Whitman ties it all into what’s wrong with the WWE and why it stinks to be stuck with characters we don’t really want.  Yes, Captain America is Roman Reigns.
