It's been a long while since the girls released a Pod - too long! They just needed some time to settle back in after Origin...and wanted to wait until refereeing controversy didn’t dominate the footy airwaves. However, this proved to be more of a struggle than Manly winning at Brookie. Certainly worth the wait. Did you miss us footy fans? xoxo

Origin III, so much drama already. Nobody cares...or do they? Nikki tries to play devil's advocate and discuss the 'glory' of this dead rubber. Calli is just not impressed. Where do you sit on this debate? I mean, who wouldn't want to see DCE make his Origin return? And how awesome is it going to be watching the Blues hold up the Origin Shield at an empty Suncorp (cue the crickets). We joke...or do we? The girls sink their teeth into the biggest footy news of the week, a NSW white(blues)wash! Beginning with the sensational inaugural Women's State of Origin at North Sydney Oval on Friday evening and culminating in a sizzling display by the boys in blue on Sunday evening at ANZ Stadium, where it was raining penalty tries (or professional fouls, if you will). Mid-way through the round, the girls chat through some of the key moments in Round 16 so far, including key player transfers and ridiculous error counts.

The Double Movement made double digits! The girls banter through a huge week of footy in the news, including retirements, salaray cap disasters and scandals on the northern beaches. Calli and Nikki are reunited in Melbourne to witness Freddie's young Blue squad beat the Maroons! The girls talk through the highs and lows of State of Origin Game 1.

Nikki visits her brother in Laguna Beach, California and chats with him about the prospects of Rugby League catching on in the US. And yes, there's a bit of Origin talk in there too #PassItForward

What do you think's a better investment: Coaching the refs to call technical penalties or injecting a huge financial dose into our beloved rugby league suburban grounds? You know where our hearts lie! The charm of Sunday footy at Kogarah, Shark Park and Brookie Oval (sigh). And FYI - there is this layperson term called 'dropping a ball'. Last we knew, if you try to catch a ball but you miss it and the ball lands in front of you on the ground ....you've dropped it.

With about one third of the  NRL 2018 season behind us, Calli and Nikki take a time-out to reflect on this crazy season. The shock-jock teams that have powered through from round one. The teams that aren't living quite up to the pre-season hype. Who would you pick as the NSW Origin fullback? Is Ponga really too young or should Tedesco have another crack at it?
