Today I spoke on my podcast about the stock market's recent rise and what lies beneath the surface. Today and yesterday presented massive market movements that put a lot of green in our portfolios. However, there are two key issues at play that should leave investors concerned:
1) Corporate earnings are expected to decline. Yes, we are heading toward a recession and yes, companies are expected to start releasing bad news within a quarter or two. Some believe this could lead to an even stronger market correction and decline in stock prices.
2) The fed is going to keep tightening, which is more serious than you think. The federal reserve has pumped trillions into the economy that shouldn't be there, and as they drain the swamp, you're going to have to watch a lot of companies die. This could lead to the bursting of the "super bubble" mentioned by economic Jeremy Grantham. Is he right? Maybe not. But be careful just in case.
I also mention my stock pick of the week at the end of the episode, which you can watch here. You can also learn more about investing, ask me questions directly and join us in class by visiting DrBoycePrime.com.

Irv Gotti, CEO and Co-founder of Murder Inc records, has been heavily criticized for speaking about the singer Ashanti a great deal in public recently. The reason Dr Alicia and I decided to talk about this issue is the following; 1) Is there a double standard when it comes to kissing and telling? There are a long list of reality shows that encourage women to speak directly about the men they used to sleep with. 2) What are the financial reasons behind reflecting on these relationships? Irv mentioned recently that he is being paid to do a documentary about Murder Inc and that it wouldn't make sense not to talk about Ashanti, one of the biggest artists in the history of the label. 3) How appropriate is it to kiss and tell in your own relationships? I say that it's tacky and corny, but there are others who do not agree. You can listen to the Pillow Talk podcast by visiting http://BoyceAndAliciaTV.com.
Most of us don't understand the deep connection between our psychological development and economic choices. According to my wife, who's a licensed therapist and Certified Trauma Professional, our financial mistakes, habits, and addictions are connected to experiences we may not even remember.
So, today on Pillow Talk with Dr Boyce and Dr Alicia Watkins, we spoke about a couple of topics, including the "Quiet Quitting" phenomenon, corporate stress, and the way our childhood can impact our economic decision-making.
