In 1996, after several summers of guiding in Alaska and Yellowstone National Park, Phil Monahan landed his dream job as an editor at Outdoor Life. But by the time he arrived, the magazine was a shadow of it's former self. Over the next three decades, Phil's successive jobs would mirror the transition in the way people consume fly fishing information.
