[RYAN]
Welp. Episode One was a smash success, to put it lightly. How can I prove that to you, how’s this: When talking to my mom a few days ago, she said, AND I QUOTE: “Me and your dad listened to your podcast. We both laughed.”
Is this the peak? Do we just retire now? No. Because like my Border Collie-mix, Deacon (RIP) licking his own shadow on the wall, we won’t stop until our tongues are bleeding from the brick that we’ve been licking.
Horrible analogy, to say the least, but you get the picture. We’re. Just. Getting. Started.
This week, we acknowledge the horrible habit that all of the Porter siblings have of talking at the speed of an Ohio Horse Auctioneer, and making sure to not let each other finish a sentence while doing so, and we take a look at four siblings who defined an oversized chunk of our childhood.
Highlights from Episode 2
Question of the Week
Jacqueline asks the thought-provoking question of what item from our childhood would go into the Graceland-style museum of our house on Dreyer Drive. And we, weirdly, had the same answer.
TMNT: The Ultimate Sibling Squad
Jacqueline dives into the sewers to dig up a little bit of background on our favorite childhood siblings, while confessing her crush on one of them. Ryan uses the podcast as the opportune platform to show the world just how horrible of a friend he was.
The documentary Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the real MVP for this episode and is worth a watch if you have like 90 minutes, crippling nostalgia, and some laundry to fold.
Unhinged Text from a Family Member
Eating sheet cakes, and our mom the pirate. We both share texts that we received during the week that confirmed many things for us. But mostly how the medical world could really use some inspiration for eye patches. A billion dollar industry just waiting.
