The Drop Pass

Annual draft preview is on the horizon and boy did it take longer than I expected.

Top entry draft prospects are under the review - strenghts, weaknesses and possible future upsides included. Mock draft is coming closer to the actual draft so stay tuned for that on a later date.

These are always fun to make and it was good to catch up to pace, when it comes to current rankings around the different scouting agencies.

And as a Habs fan, this is going to be the highlight of the year 2022 for one specific reason... and quick first round glimpse is also included in the episode, while the main attractions are going to be the young guns of the 2022 draft class.

Go leave a rating for the podcast, hit the follow button, so you don't miss any future updates and most of all start looking at the highlight reels of these guys, 'cause few have some gem's coming up this summer.

I haven't slept that much in recent weeks, but for a good cause and I certainly ain't complaining about the fact that the playoffs are heating up even more once we come across the two battlegrounds: the Battle of Alberta and Battle of Florida.

Sit back relax and enjoy!

WE BACK!

Drooling for some playoff inside? This episode features exactly that.
Every matchup under review - analysis and predictions in the forefront, while we go through the strenghts and weaknesses of each individual team.

I stood behind my pre-season predictions, so no changes there and you can't expect anything else than heavy jinxing from my behalf. See what you think of my predictions and leave your thoughts on my social media - I can guarantee that, at least one of you will think that the Presidents' trophy winner Florida is going to hoist the cup, but if that is the case - you need to educate yourself on the playoffs.

Few notable contract signings and retirement news included as well, but don't worry - we will get to the point relatively quickly.

Had to take some time off for personal reasons, so I'm sorry for the lack of content recently, but now we are back on the grindstone and ready to face the long NHL spring.

Hop on board and get ready for some playoff cream.

I appreciate your support!

Welcome back.
Ready to check on the current NHL standings ahead of the post season? Likewise brother.
This week's hottest topic is going to be the current NHL playoff race as you can probably tell from the heading, but all you MMA fans (the two of you) will get your weekly dose as well, in the form of UFC 273 breakdown. (you DON'T want to miss that card... just saying.)

We will break down the current NHL standings division by division and I'm going to mix in some of my thoughts for the teams contending and also mention few noteworthy news surrounding the league before the main topic itself.

The Leafs and the Rangers also clinched their playoff spots last night, which obvisously were not mentioned in the episode, so... now you know.

Next week, is going to be reserved for the upcoming NHL entry draft, so come back next week if you've been wondering, where the prospect coverage has been lately.

Press that follow button and leave a rating for the podcast if you enjoyed. Or if you didn't, either way man. Thanks!

That's all. Adiós!

Also, as an apetizer I serve you the Paddy burger with UFC London review on the side.

That's the compact briefing of this week's episode, so go ahead and take a listen and tell me who you think now has the best chance of winning the cup.

Until next time bud!

Another one? Yes, buddy.

Another guest episode out and today we have one of the upcoming Finnish talents on the hot seat. Blues' backend agitator joins us for a nice lenghty interview where we discuss his quick raise to the NHL level, Junior and Men's World Championship experiences, NHL journey to this point and lots more. And of course, Snapshots and the Trifecta included as well.

It was nice to catch up with my former teammate and share his story as he's paving his way to the NHL scene as a rugged defensive d-man.

In addition, I will also cover the upcoming UCL quarter finals, latest NHL contract extension  and the major comeback of the GOAT himself, so tune in and have yourself a pleasant ending to your week.

Also, go press the follow button, leave a rating for the podcast and leave your thoughts on my social media, because those will help me improve the show going forward.

That's all go enjoy! - JT

Missed me? Probably not, but still I'm back.

Another great set of topics inbound. We will cover the first eliminations in the UCL - meaning talk about the absolute debacle that happened in Madrid this week, check out the upcoming events on the UFC front and as the main course, we will enjoy a nice piece of NHL re-drafts from 2010 to 2014.

Expect some controversial picks and if you dare, send me your lists of those drafts and we can have a nice deep conversation about my brain activity and knowledge on hockey afterwards.

Next week, we will hopefully see another guest appearing in this show, so start to prepare yourself for another entertaining athlete.

Take care!

Ready for another quest? Well, here you go.

First guest from the hockey scene and also the first international talent to appear on this show. We sat down to discuss his junior years spent in both Boston Uni. and Minnesota, as well as his jungle experience in both ECHL and the AHL. We go over the major differences between those leagues in- and outside of the rink, get to dive deeper into goalie mindset and discuss about his journey to European continent and how it has treted him so far. Snapshots & The Trifecta included in the end as well, so remember to stay until then to find out who Connor eventually picks as his tourist guide for his trip to Bangkok.

Big thanks to Connor for coming on and best of luck for the remainder of the season.

Happy Valentine’s day my friend! Ready for some Champions League action? Well, you better be. This week we will cover the most recent NHL coaching changes, All-Star weekend and the major fights from the UFC 271 card - and boy let me tell you, one of those predictions went sideways with quite large margin.

Also, as the main course we will go through the Champions League Round of 16 matchups, predict the teams that are going to advance to the quarter finals and also hype up the most prolific striker in the entire competition (note - it ain’t Lewangoalski)

Exciting times ahead so make sure to go follow the podcast IG page @thedrop_pass to not miss any new updates on the future episodes (guest inboud…) and I dare you to leave a generous rating for the podcast on Spotify.

Much love!

Glad to have you back bud!

Missed the NFL conference finals? Do not fear, I got short review ready for you while you hype yourself up for the Super Bowl.
Didn't care to look which players got dealt during the January transfer window?  No worries, I'll tell you all the juiciest transfers and loan deals from the first month.
And would you also like to hear which players will switch teams two months ahead of time in the NHL? Well, I don't have a crystal ball to confirm that, but I can at least tell you my predictions based on the current market situation. And that is the best I can offer.

Pretty mediocre NHL All-Star weekend in the rear-view mirror, as one could've anticipated, but luckily we at least got witness another round of Trevor Zegras' sorcery, so you can only guess, who's been trending in Twitter this weekend.

Go fetch yourself a nice cold one before you start the episode and put your leg behind your neck to make yourself comfortable, but don't forget to enjoy.

This week's episode will start off with the UFC 270 review, but don't you hesitate, we got a truck load of NHL topics to cover this week. As the main course, we will go through our Finnish representation around the NHL, spiced with the most recent headlines including Evander Kane's signing, Sonk Daddy - Keith Yandle's unbelievable streak, few jersey retirements, Philly's disastrous season, Jake Virtanen's Gulag trip and some injury news to top it off.

Almost an hour long episode of full on hockey speculation, so if you have been drooling for this kind of episode, remember to bite before you swallow. Otherwise, feel free to feast my friend.
