Trapped on a dying island and hunted like beasts, Mateo leads a desperate prison break beneath the rotting manor of Madeira. At its heart waits Baltasar, a chained cannon-bearer with one shot left and a soul not yet spent.

What follows is a sprint through fire and blood as loyalties are tested, lives are lost, and a crippled cutter called the San Telmo becomes the last hope of escape.
