We're finally back and we got ourselves a DUBFEAT! Tom and I recently made time to watch both In A Violent Nature and Longlegs. With the help of some social media comments, we determined that both of these films invoke some polarizing viewpoints in addition to our take on them. Take a listen and let us know what you think about these two films. Also, the commercial sponsors are back up, too! Enjoy the THREE commercials throughout the pod.
A new format (sorta) arrives today on the Dubfeat! Here is a Dubfeat Shorty, where I do a quick recap of two movies I've seen, shoot the stuff about any new movies I've seen, and just dip my toes into what the podcast is about. Enjoy!
So after an unfortunate, unwanted, but necessary hiatus from podcasting, DUBFEAT (and the whole gang of participants) has returned full force! The dudes and I ( Luis, Jason, Damien, and Tom) have continually talked about doing a LAN party once everyone was officially on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Once we pulled the trigger, so to speak, it only seemed fitting that we rant video games after.
We kick off this episode with our personal origin stories to the world of Call Of Duty as well as this franchise as a whole. Additionally in this episode, we nerd rant, we hypothesize ideas for this game, and we do some collective wishful thinking as to what should come of/in the future for Call Of Duty.
Grab a seat and/or grab a controller. Load up COD and/or play us in the background. Throw on your headphones and submerse yourself in our rantings and/or some Multiplayer Mosh Pit. Either way, take a listen and enjoy! It feels good to be back!
Also, don't forget to follow our page on instagram @dubfeatmoviereviews and leave a comment on what was your introduction to Call Of Duty!
To all of those wondering (and/or those still listening), new things are coming soon! Delays, delays, delays, but we're on the mend and starting up this new year with more creativity. We have a pod in the bag that needs to be edited and I have intentions of many movie reviews in the next coming weeks. Life has been hitting hard the last couple of months, but it's time to get back to it. Thanks again to all the listeners who still tap in. As always, keep your ears peeled for new content soon!

SPOILERS AHEAD! More so spoilers for Hellraiser, but not as much for Talk To Me.
Initially planned for today's viewing were two older movies. About Schmidt and Limelight were on the queue, but in the spirit of Halloween rapidly approaching, I've decided to flip those into two horror movies. One's a classic and one's brand new. Hellraiser spawned a million sequels and spin offs while Talk To Me enters the ring of horror-dom, taking the genre by storm. About Schmidt and Limelight will be saved for first thing come November, but expect plenty of spooky reviews for the remainder of this month. Sit back and enjoy!
Films Mentioned in this pod:
-Hereditary
-Come and See
-Talk To Me (2023) is streamable on all rental spots and still in select theaters)
-Hellraiser (1987) is streaming on Amazon Prime, but available on multiple platforms for free
WARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD FOR TWO MOVIES THAT HAVE BEEN OUT FOR MORE THAN A DECADE.
I'm back and with a vengeance! Originally the schtick of the this podcast was to take two feature films and compare and contrast em. Now that time has permitted me to do so, the schtick is back! Dubfeats and Dubfeats a plenty are on the way. Today's Dubfeat is two classic Al Pacino movies, Insomnia and Scent Of A Woman. Both are exceptional representations of the massive talent Al Pacino possesses.
Honorable TV/Movie mentions throughout the pod:
-How To with John Wilson (2020-2023 on Max)
-What We Do In The Shadows (2019-Present on Hulu)
-Rick and Morty (2013- Present on Hulu and Max)
-Oppenheimer (2023 In theaters but streaming soon!)
-The Day After Trinity (1980)
-To End All War: Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb (2023 on Hulu)
-Dead Poets Society (1989)
-With Honors (1994)
-The Dark Knight (2008 on Max)
-Batman Begins (2005 on Max)
-Tenet (2020)
-Dunkirk (2017 on Britbox)
-Insomnia (1997 on FreeVee)
(those not noted with a streaming location are rentable on the usual spots (Amazon, Vudu, etc)
Both Scent Of A Woman and Insomnia were not streaming on any specific movie/tv app, but are available for rental and purchase on all the usual spots (amazon, VUDU, etc)
COHERENCY RETURNED! Jason, Luis, and myself have an eloquent conversation (okay fine, a semi-raunchy but still solid convo) about the great show Ted Lasso. With our combined busy schedule, it took some time for us to sit and break down Lasso, which we were all itching to do after the finale. That being said, everything wasn't as fresh, hence the playback of the the show in the background as we talked. One heavily featured episode playing (and distracting us) in this pod was Season 3 - Episode 11, Mom City, easily a top 5 contender for one of the best episodes of Ted Lasso, in addition to the Coach Beard episode, too.
We attempt to dissect/understand the writer's strike (which is at 145 days!) toward the end of the pod. We also put our anticipation for Oppenheimer on the pod, as we were finally in a position where our schedules allowed for a group viewing. Semi-related, I was watching What We Do In The Shadows and caught a Ted Lasso nod in the show. They had a banner that said “BELIEVE” which was on a blackboard. As always, sit back or keeping moving and enjoy us breaking down one of the most feel-good shows of the last two decades.
As usual, we discuss a multitude of other shows/movies among Ted Lasso, which includes (but not limited to):
Freaks and Geeks
Platonic (on Apple TV)
The Boys
Blue Mountain State
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Scrubs
The Dark Knight Rises
The Two Escobars (30 for 30 Documentary)
Manhattan (TV Series)
Judas and the Black Messiah
Black Klansman
Final Note: One of the episodes related fleshing out of Ted Lasso's history was the show establishing that Lasso's father committed suicide.

This pod has a long journey of malfunctioning editing software, full cutting that disappeared, convos that shouldn't be brought into the world and more! The pod came close to being shelved and thrown into THE VAULT, but I kept at it anyway. It was a little tough to cut. Jason, Luis and Myself were indulging in some beers and edibles, so when I was sober, I saw that there were about 3+ hours of audio that progressively became less coherent. This here is that last hour of coherence. After some sprucing up, cutting out plenty of crap along the way, this is what remains.
We dabble in some of our favorite moments in High School, meandering into film and television as we always do. Sit back and enjoy this one, as we were heavily intoxicated OR better yet, have a drink too, so that you can feel as drunk as we were.
PS-Keep your eyes peeled. A sober convo between the three of us is coming soon!
RIP to Anthony Cherenfant. An awesome friend from Jamaica High School, an awesome friend after Jamaica High School. Truly a great friend to everyone who crossed his path. You will be missed, bro.
Where the hell is Damien? Has Dubfeat died? Who the hell is Detective Stewart?
These are all valid questions. You've heard the excuse of life and work and blah blah blah one hundred times, so without anymore excuses, The Dubfeat Variety Hour is back! The hiatus is over and (hopefully) more consistent material shall follow soon.
In this episode, Tom and I break down the process of bringing the Saga of Detective Stewart to a close. It was stressful, fun, nerve-wracking, and more, but what all started on a whim during the pandemic (like this podcast) had become a long, winding, awesome journey forward.
Enjoy the listen and if you haven't watched the final episode of Detective Stewart yet, do so here: https://youtu.be/aY5eJ9oSAII?si=yCISNHcDvzqho24p
PS-Don't forget to listen to a word from our sponsor at the end of the pod!
Welcome back to another three-way pod with Damien, Luis, & Jason. Fair warning, there were edibles and copious amounts of beers involved in these recordings, so things get loud, ridiculous, but pretty typical of how things go when we all hang out. Enjoy this madness!
It goes without say, don't or do drugs & drive!
