Scott speaks with author and elected DNC member Christine Pelosi about her new book "The Nancy Pelosi Way" as well as about impeachment, about #TrumpsWar with Iran and about her personal story as a lifelong political activist. Our in-depth chat reveals new material you can't find in her hot-telling book and also Christine Pelosi's deep insight into the politics of war and peace during an interview we recorded after Trump's provocative decision to target and kill Iran's second-highest government official in Iraq, as well as her commentary on the impeached forever president. You can find the book at Barnes & Noble.
Our political Meet the Candidates books are profiles of Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, and Pete Buttigieg are the only place to find an objective comparison of the top four candidates and Scott's opinion on the politics of theirs campaign. Buy our Meet the Candidates 2020 books here.
Scott presents an interview with Malcolm Nance about his latest book, “The Plot to Betray America: How Team Trump Embraced Our Enemies, Compromised Our Security and How We Can Fix It” which made the prestigious New York Times Bestseller list by producer Grant Stern from his appearance at the Miami Book Fair. Nance is an MSNBC contributor who became the first person in the American mainstream media to uncover and expose Russia’s attack on the 2016 presidential election, which was the topic of his first book on the subject “The Plot to Hack America” which he released during the campaign. He explained in this interview how Russian intelligence uses disinformation and what America can do to fight back.
Scott speaks with Juli Briskman about her journey from a morning bike ride with an unexpected interlocution by the President that led her eventually into an elected office. Supervisor-elect Briskman will be sworn in to represent the Algonkian District in Loudon County, Virginia where the Trump National Golf course is situated after flipping the bird at President Trump while he drove back to the White House from a golf outing. Briskman told us that there was a Trump effect even on the local level, which helped her flip her county commission blue. Most importantly, she stood up for what’s right by denouncing a demagogue, and in so doing set an example for every member of the resistance by getting involved.

Scott speaks with Navy Commander (ret.) Guy Snodgrass, whose new book “Holding the Line: Inside Trump’s Pentagon with Secretary Mattis” is a personal memoir of his eighteen-month tour of duty at the Pentagon as Chief of Communications and speechwriter for former Defense Secretary General James Mattis. Cmdr. Snodgrass wrote a nonpartisan account of his time working with Secretary Mattis but didn’t hold back in our interview about the harm to America’s allegiances being done by President Trump’s duplicitous public messaging, or on any other topic. He also revealed the serious complications of Trump’s tweets, for example when he canceled military exercises with our South Korean allies or falsely told the public that he consulted with the Pentagon before tweeting a ban on military service by transgendered persons. It’s a unique, insider’s account of the top of the Department of Defense and how they handled an arbitrary and unpredictable Commander-in-Chief. You can find his first-hand account inside the Pentagon during the Trump Administration on your local store’s bookshelves at Barnes and Noble.

Scott speaks with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) who is a member of the House Judiciary Committee overseeing an impeachment inquiry into President Donald J. Trump. Rep. Raskin shared what he believes is one of the most likely, and likely provable impeachable offenses that he believes will find its way into Articles of Impeachment against Trump. He also explained why it’s finally time for Congress to dust off its powers of inherent contempt to punish Cory Lewandowski for refusing to answer questions about the President’s attempts to obstruct the Mueller Probe.
