As part of my "Summer Catch-Up," I am doing movie reviews for 2024 summer movies every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY here on the channel. Starting with a film I deeply love and admire and hope more people get out to see, SING SING, A24's newest drama and potential Oscar frontrunner. After the BREAKING NEWS that Horizon: An American Saga- Chapter 2 would be pulled from the release schedule indefinitely, leaving Kevin Costner's entire passion project at risk, I decided to give my own thoughts on the decision at large, as well as review one of my favorite Westerns in recent memory, HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA- CHAPTER 1! On episode thirty-one of FRAMEWRECK (a show about so-bad-they're-good movies), channel creator Dylan Randazzo and bad movie expert Matt Chapmond begin the "Summer of Corman," honoring the legacy of Roger Corman. Since it also coincides with our 2014 Retrospective on the channel, we decided to look at a 2014 film produced by Corman, SHARKTOPUS VS. PTERACUDA. Who do we think would win in a fight between the titular baddies? How does Conan O'Brien fare in his acting debut (playing a fictionalized version of himself as just appearing as himself)?
