When raising children in the church teaching God's laws and modeling righteous behaviors are absolutely critical but the one thing you can't teach is an experience. Teens also needs an encounter with the perfect love and the perfect truth that is Jesus Christ.

As we continue our series on the church, what is the specific calling for Ephrata Community Church.

Did you know that Jesus is introduced in all four Gospels as "the one who baptizes you in the Holy Spirit? This message looks at the summary statements in scripture that state why Jesus came and then traces his methods of training his disciples how to carry on his work after he left the earth. Our mission today is not only to announce the good news of the Kingdom but also to do the deeds that Jesus did including healing the sick and casting out demons.

Leading others into a relationship with Jesus Christ can be as easy as inviting them into what you are experiencing. There is power in a simple invitation.

The Book of Acts contains various ways to be a witness to the world around us. Perhaps the most obvious is to confront the world with the truth of God's salvation in Jesus Christ. This message will bring both encouragement and caution for this way of being a witness to the world.

1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear. We often fear approaching God, specifically because we know that He knows everything about us. We are afraid of judgement or punishment. But as we approach God in Jesus Christ, there is no punishment, simply redemption. Perfect love casts out fear.

What do we think of when we hear the word "Church?" Is our understanding of the word consistent with the New Testament understanding of it? Let's consider the biblical approach to the church today.

God is always at work both in us, and around us, but often we don't recognize this. This message will encourage people to look for, remember, and share openly about the work that He is doing around them.

With so many lost and hurting people around us, why don't we do something? I give reasons why as we unpack the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) And the importance for us to get our there and help the hurting find Jesus.
