I am living proof of how Nature can have a magical effect on healing extreme anxiety and depression! I am very private and do not like to disclose much of my personal life! But this is one thing; if I don't, it will be a disservice to many people going through some extent of depression and anxiety.

Sumithra is an Architect, An interior designer who designs eco-friendly spaces, an entrepreneur, and sustainability advocate. Some interesting incidents that she discusses in this episode spiked her curiosity to experience the processes in nature and made her delve into the world of sustainable living.

 In my understanding, I think she was the one who first introduced bio enzymes into the UAE market. Her small business then was a perfect model for a circular economy.

Recently, she has embraced a new entrepreneurial venture to establish a bio enzyme manufacturing unit in Dubai. Her focus is on locally producing 100% plant-based bio enzyme products, aligning with her commitment to a greener future.

Being a new mother she discusses her experience of how she has embraced an ecofriendly lifestyle with ease. 

Through her passion for upcycling and repurposing furniture, she creates distinctive and environmentally conscious designs that bring new vitality to old spaces. 

She has so many interesting things to share so I have split this podcast in two parts.

I'm curious if the fast fashion industry is truly committed to sourcing eco-friendly fabrics or if they are simply using certifications for marketing purposes. During a recent visit to a fast fashion outlet, while waiting for my son to return from a birthday party, I conducted an interesting study and made some observations. But have you ever wondered why it's used in these products? Sustainable fashion brands use organic cotton in their garments. What's more! Even fast fashion brands have started flaunting these labels! Have you ever seen those "sustainable cotton" labels on clothes in fast fashion stores? 

With all the confusion surrounding "sustainable cotton" labels, it's essential to understand the real impact of organic cotton and how it can make a difference.

The other day, I told a friend about avoiding reusable plastic bottles and opting for materials like glass or food-grade stainless steel, and she responded, Don't worry, it is BPA-free! 

I got agitated with all these marketing tactics companies use to lure us into buying products and was concerned for her! Keep listening to the end; you will know why I felt like this!

Single-use plastic pens are a part of the throw-away culture we have unknowingly been developing over the last several years.

It is in our cars, drawers, and bags, distributed in airlines, hotels, conferences, and schools. It is disposable and not a big deal if you lose one because it is cheap.

Many children and adults have the terrible habit of chewing on their pens, be aware what you are chewing on is toxic!

The big question is that the term “Organic” is often misused to attract more profits and commercialize a product. Hence it is essential to identify genuine organic products.

Today I am giving you a brief overview of how you can identify if your food or product is authentically organic. We will go through the different certifications worldwide and how you can find natural organic produce that may not be certified.
