They shared research on how paediatric dermatitis impacts families and caregivers in 9 areas: sleep, social isolation, time requirements, life decisions, family relationship dynamics, energy/fatigue, mental health impacts, and unmet treatment needs.

Global Parents for Eczema Research is a grassroots, parent-led non-profit organization that advances research and policy changes to help caregivers who have children with eczema. They also have a great mentorship program.

The full episode interviewed Dr. Jonathan Silverberg, (MD, PhD, MPH) on how different climates, such as higher humidity, higher temperatures, colder climates and higher precipitation can all affect your skin. He also shared which states have the highest prevalence of eczema.

Dr. Silverberg is a world renowned Board-certified Dermatologist from the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates Department of Dermatology, who specializes in atopic dermatitis (eczema) and contact dermatitis, as well as other chronic inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis, uticaria, blistering diseases, alopecia areata, and vitiligo.
