Welcome back to America's leading higher education podcast, The EdUp Experience! In this episode, your guest is Traci Snowden, CEO & Founder, Apto Global, and your sponsor is the EvoLLLUtion!
Traci founded Apto Global to facilitate a better cultural experience for international students. Apto Global is a social learning platform for guiding those who need to cross-culturally interact, travel, or relocate, so they can feel at home no matter where they are or who they’re with. Through social learning interaction, Traci discusses that Apto also puts the power to teach, share and learn just about anything, through the lens of authentic culture and language, back into the hands of the local people. This means content can be real-time, relevant, hyper-local, and empower equity. Want to give your international students (any students!) a better experience? Improve recruitment, retention, and graduation with APTO!
Apto Global was founded in late 2015, by CEO, Traci Snowden, who provided concierge services to expat families relocating to the United States. These families needed to adapt across not only the traditional barriers of language but also cultural differences in hyper-local communities, workplace and academic environments. Traci started Apto because she and her clients knew exactly what they needed – a platform where users could share and learn local culture and language via authentic, immersive video…yet no one had built it.
