Cheers to 7 years: Turning the page to BGR 2.0

This episode is the final episode we will record in the Beer Guys Radio studio and the final radio broadcast of the show.  We're not going away, BGR 2.0 is around the corner, but it is a bittersweet moment as we say goodbye to the old and get excited for what's next.

We reminisce about our favorite moments from the past seven years, including meeting Beer Archaeologist Travis Rupp, talking to Dan Carey, and interviewing Alan Sprints of Hair of the Dog.  We also discuss the decline in craft beer sales and ponder the reasons behind this decline. Additionally, we explore the closure of Mikkeller's final US location and Heineken cutting draft sales to five states due to supply chain issues. Craft Beer Sales Decline in 2022

According to the National Beer Wholesalers Association, craft beer dollar sales were down 4.8% in 2022, with case sales down 8.6%. We ponder the reasons behind this decline, such as changing tastes, health consciousness, and supply chain issues during the pandemic. The craft beer industry is facing several challenges, including increased competition from other beverages like hard seltzers and non-alcoholic beers. However, despite these challenges, the craft beer community remains strong and continues to produce innovative and delicious beers for fans to enjoy.
